Agorà hostel is in the historical centre directly in front of ancient roman ruins and beside the famous Pescheria (fish market) and one of the oldest rivers in Catania, which passes right underneath the hostel in a cave formed 300 years ago by an eruption of Mount Etna, the nearby volcano!

The hostel bar is famous and fills up every night with locals and tourists. Ask at the reception for your “happy hour” drink cards for our five-hour happy hour from 5pm-10pm everyday! With the “happy food” offer, choose 1 of our house specials on offer at greatly reduced prices for a great meal at lunch or dinner!

The hostel is close to the main bus stops for Siracusa, Palermo, the airport and la playa (the beach). A short 15 minute walk takes you to the central train & bus station for transport to Mount Etna and Taormina, as well as the long distance trains to Rome, Naples and Milan.

Agora Hostel is located in Piazza Currò in the heart of Catania, directly in front of the ancient Roman ruins "Terme dell'Indirizzo" in the area of the “Pescheria” (the historical and folklorist fish market) and a short walk from Piazza Duomo (the cathedral) and the central Via Etnea. The hostel is part of the old town (the building is from the XIX century) and is the perfect base to explore the rich artistic, architectural and cultural patrimony. An ideal base for day excursions on Etna the active volcano, Alcantara Gorges, Taormina, Siracusa, Noto, Piazza Armerina, Agrigento. The protagonist of the nightlife of Catania with its unique and popular restaurant / cocktail bar, part of which is located in an underground lava cave where flows the Amenano, the ancient river of the city.
