Liked: In september there weren't many people so it was really quiet. Lake is nearby.

Disliked: The bungalow wasn't very clean.

Liked: The location is great, with the lake some steps away, and you can have a nice swim on the lake. The mosquitos can be a problem though... they are pretty much all over the place.

Disliked: All in all, it wasn't a good experience. We were expecting a lot more, considering some of the reviews, but we found out that they didn't really depict our feelings about the place. The bungalow is a joke, a ridiculously small room, where you can barely go to the other side of the bed. The bed is not comfortable, it smells really bad and the room is far from clean. To make things worse, there is no AC, and the room gets very hot. We had a hard time getting to sleep. The bathrooms are the typical facilities you would encounter on a camping, but they look old and the showers spill water everywhere but down. You will find spiderwebs everywhere, on the toilet room, showers... and just about every corner. If you want to go to bed early and enjoy a good night sleep, forget it. The camping has regular night activities that extend way over the admissible limit. But the worst thing in my opinion, are the over inflatable prices of everything inside and outside the camping. The restaurant was overpriced, the internet was ridiculously expensive, and to enjoy the pool you have to buy hair caps... which cost you extra. Castegliano del Lago was not an exception, a small medieval town with lots of expensive restaurants and the worst meal we had in our 22 days journey around Italy. Nothing interesting to see. By the way, if you want to do an early check-out, you better do it on the day before, since the reception of the camping only opens at 9:00.
