Liked: I was searching for a place in the nature, not too far from the coast, to relax and get my mind cleared - thats the place! located in the mountains, walking trails around and beautiful campiglia marittima + touristy san vincenzo in reasonable distance. even better is the staff, very very friendly+helpful - since the restaurant was closed in low season i was invited to have lunch + dinner with them. i arrived by train, so they picked up from the station san vincenzo + claudio was always available for a ride on the motorbike :-) for 3 days i rented a scooter (40€/day). u'll definitely need wheels there to visit the beautiful sites of populonia, baratti bay, rimigliano parc... i enjoyed my stay a lot!

Liked: As the description says, this hostel is located a long way from just about everything, deep in the Tuscan countryside. If that's not what you're after, then this place isn't for you. If, however, you're looking for a very relaxing place to stay in a unique location (I've never seen another hostel like it), then this is a fantastic place. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was as good as I've had in any other hostel, and far better than most.

Disliked: This hostel is not a place to stay if you're travelling alone and looking to meet fellow travellers. You will need a car to arrive at the hostel, but that's understandable given the countryside location.
