The medieval little town of Castelguelfo idi BOLOGNA Is strategically positioned at very short distance from Imola – renown for the Formula 1 and motorbike races – Dozza , Castel S. Pietro Terme – renown for the thermal baths establishment featuring the latests professional beauty and health treatments and the stunning “Villaggio della Salute” (villlage of health) offering 20 and more open and covered swimming pools immersed in a huge planted green area of incredible charme - and Medicina, all lovely and welcoming towns in the province of Bologna.

The BOLOGNA fair ground is at just 15/20 minutes drive from Castelguelfo and can be reached from four different access ways, namely the via Emilia, the Via S. Vitale, the Stradelli Guelfi and the motor way. Access to motor way is about 8 km. from Castelguelfo, direction Castel S. Pietro Terme. In Castel S. Pietro there is the nearest railway station with frequent connections trains to and from Bologna and other destinations.
Castelguelfo is daily connected to Bologna by regular bus races.

The b&b “The Ducks” is situated at about 4 minutes walk distance from Castelguelfo old centre, which offers interesting attractions to appreciative tourists and visitors, who like to discover important historical hits, such as the ancient walls still embracing the little centre, the 4 towers and “La Rocca” that is the main access door to the old town centre, the “Palazzo Malvezzi”, the “ Palazzo del Podestà”, the triangular Square and the church of “San Giovanni Battista Decollato”.

Needless to say that Castelguelfo is the ideal place to stay for all tourists wishing to visit Bologna and its surroundings , with their breathtaking artistic and natural beauties, or for business people attending seminares, congresses, or visiting the many shows held in the world-wide famous Fiera di Bologna.

Castel Guelfo offers a choice of 3 restaurants and 3 pizzerias , all within walk distance from the B&B The Ducks, where guests can enjoy the typical “bolognese kitchen” and the flavoured wines of the region.

The Ducks offers its guests a comfortable stay with a plentiful breakfast prepared to guests' taste and choice . Satellite TV, DVD Player, washing machine, drying machine, hair drier, iron facility are at guests' disposal for friendly use. A large kitchen with all facilities and a garage are available for the guests . A friendly accommodation is offered in extra bed to children under age of 6. Extra bed for grown-up is offered at just 15 E, breakfast included.

At the Ducks the lady owner will welcome guests from 3 p.m. To 7 p.m. and in other day's hours upon agreement. English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese are fluently spoken and all correspondence can be carried out in these languages, plus italian of course !
