Welcome to Ostello Della Pace, the hostel for travellers run by travellers where you can relax, unwind and share travelling experiences and memories with people who know what its like to travel.

A life-long ambition that is also a home to us and our two children, the Peace Hostel is more than a place to sleep and eat. It is a way of life for us and our family and something we have poured many of our past experiences into.

Visitors to the hostel can expect a warm, friendly family atmosphere and plenty of advice from experienced travellers. Perfect for someone away from home for months at a time.

Accommodation Information

6 or 8 person rooms:
The large and comfortable rooms which sleep either 6 or 8, in addition to fostering new friendships, are ideal, too, for groups and families.

At the Peace Hostel, it is also possible to stay in family rooms with 2 or 4 beds and private bath, a more coherent response to the needs of those guests who wish to have more privacy.

Available for all our guests, there is a large common room in which to relax, set down e your knapsack, and feel at home. Here you will be able to pass many pleasant hours writing, reading, playing cards or playing music festively with others. Our library contains guides to Assisi and Umbria in many languages; piano and guitar and lots of games are also available for young and old alike; nor should we forget our Internet Point.

In a relaxed and serene atmosphere, guests will be able to taste dishes of a simple and genuine cuisine based on fresh produce and at a price truly affordable by all.

Location Information

The Peace Hostel is located in a 17th century farmhouse which has been completely restored and is surrounded by a large, tree-filled garden. In the green space in front of the Hostel, you can relax and enjoy the view of the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels and the Umbrian Plain. In the garden behind the Hostel, you can admire Assisi as her stones change color, from dawn until sunset.

Situated just below Assisi¹s city walls, the Hostel offers from many of its windows splendid views of Assisi with its extraordinary monuments, its huddled houses, and the splendid Mount Subasio (Regional Park) with its hermitages and paths ideal for long excursions which will bring you too, to small, unspoiled medieval towns.

All around the Hostel stretches the beautiful Umbrian countryside. Many of the roads, still unpaved, border small cultivated fields. Punctuated by oaks and beeches, these little roads are idea for walks or bicycle rides.
