Customer reviewBreakfast is great. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Hostel is not in Amalfi but is in fact in the next town along, Atrani but it's not a very long walk to get there and there is also a bus too if you've got lots of luggage. Atrani is a cute, quiet town and it's not far from Amalfi so I'd recommend it - much cheaper to stay here if you're on a budget too. There are several restaurants close by. There's no common area to chill out or to meet people, there's no facilities like kitchen or internet but it's fine to stay a couple of days to see the surrounding beautiful area. |

Customer reviewAn ideal location, but removed from the tourist hordes of Amalfi. Town piazza at the hostel door; great place to relax. Friendly hosts Gabriele and Filippo. |

Tjahaja MatahariThey were really friendly people who ran it. It was a nice clean room, bathroom didn't have great ventilation but its fine for a few nights. Bus stop was just above the square, and Atrani is only walking distance from Amalfi where you can get ferries from. I was only there for 2 nights but would def reccomend this place |

Customer reviewLocation was perfect, so close to Amalfi that it was worth the 10 min walk from Amalfi Town. The town itself is the real Italian village and it was amazing how the atmosphere changed in such a short walk.Amalfi is packed with tourists. Beautiful place, with public sandy beaches, not like in Amalfi- Really worth it !!!! |

Customer reviewThis hostel has a great location and the owners are very welcoming. 10 minute walk from the city of Amalfi. Plus, our room was seconds away from Atrani's small beach. However, our bathroom was very unclean. The drain was clogged and the water would leak into the rest of the room. We were expexted to mop the bathroom floor and the floor of our room after every shower with a stinky mop that made our room smell like wet garbage. We left Atrani three days early just because we couldnt stand the dirty bathroom. If you are picky about clean living quarters, I don't suggest that you stay at this hostel. |

Customer reviewThis was a great place to stay on the Amalfi coast. It's a charming little town, and much cheaper than Amalfi. You can walk to Amalfi in 5 mintues, the breakfast was wonderful, the staff was so nice and helpful, and it felt very safe. I would highly recomend this place to anyone who's traveling the Amalfi Coast. |

Customer reviewIt is very close to the Amalfi center. Actually Atrani is around 200meters from Amalfi. The hotels in the Amalfi are very expensive and the quality isn't too good too. This Scalinatella Hotel is perhaps the one of the most economic way to stay there. The men who are managing this hostel are VERY nice and that is actually very important. They are helpful and relaxed. They let us stay in 90 euro room with the bathroom while we payed 58 euro for room without a bathroom. So they are very kind. The continental breakfast is also very good for this type of modest breakfast. But hostel itself is not very clean neither new. And honestly I thing it is the standard in Amalfi... So it is a good deal overall! |

Customer reviewThe two brothers who run this place are so helpful and friendly. The location is stunning. The restaurants close by offer really cheap drinks and good food. Our favourite place on our trip. The rooms are clean. |

Joey LiuThe price was good considering that Amalfi is a very touristy place. Filippo was super friendly, and everything we needed was either in the tiny piazza downstairs or a 5 min. walk to Amalfi. Bathrooms were a little bit small, but I'm not complaining. Breakfast was nice, too. |

Customer reviewIt is the only place in Atrani...but good all the same. And if you're thinkiing of staying in Amallfi, don't. Stay at this little place in Atrani. Just a short walk around the corner and much more chilled. |

Caroline GervaisAtrani is a good place to live. People are nice and helpful, but I thought it would be more like an B&B kind of place. Even if you have a private room, you will hear the noise, conversation and see the light of everyone because the walls are thin and not complete (to the celling)! Plus, they are really small, with our luggage, we coudln't be all 3 in the room at the same time; unlease we were in bed. The restroom are actually the shower, so it smeels humidity everywhere. Sometimes, the reception is empty (cause only the manager works there) with the door open (with all the room keys hanging). And there are no locker in the room, so you better lock your things! Just in case. There are a lot of stairs and they are thin, so don't bring a big luggage (I did and it was difficult) Otherwise, the breakfast is good and the town is small and friendly. 5 minutes walk to Amalfi. Lots of nice restaurant, but no place if you want to hang out by night. |

Customer reviewBreakfast was hearty, location was excellent, shame about the lack of internet as this would have been very useful or a communal area to relax |

Customer reviewStaff is very helpful, though we're very late for the check-in. Surrounding is very quite, though it is only 1 bus stop away from the Amafi center. |
