Liked: located in Atrani which is a really cute little town close to amalfi, with less emphasis on tourism. atrani is better than amalfi. the hostel itself was fine, it was a little bit weird, but it had enough bathrooms (NEED flip flops in there tho, a bit wet and old) and the rooms were ok. they were dark and sometimes really hot, but not so bad really. it didnt have a kitchen, but there were laundry facilities. no internet but you could go to the bars in the piazza and get it free/very cheap (cost of a drink or something). it was close to the bus which goes to amalfi and salerno.

Liked: this is pretty much the only place to stay in Atrani and it super close to the beach and plenty of shops and tabacchi. The brothers that own it are very nice and breakfast was fantastic.

Liked: Closeness to the beach, intimacy of the city. And the brothers that run the hostel are fantastic. Atrani, where the hostel is, is a tiny town of 1000 and the food is not too expensive and you can really have a fun time relaxing there.

Liked: They took a personal interest in ensuring that your stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as it could be. It was at the centre of life in Atrani where everyone knows each other and everyone staying in the hostel naturally came to know each other from the beach and bars a hop skip and jump away from the rooms.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and overall the location was great. The hostel is located in a village (Atrani) that is about 7 min away from Amalfi. While you can get to Amalfi easily at night, you can enjoy the less 'touristy' beaches of Atrani during the day.

Liked: Philipo and Gabriello were wonderful hosts. The breakfast was yummy! Easy to walk to Amalfi. Close to the beach. The hike to the lemon groves was beautiful. People were friendly. Felt very safe. Would definitely recommend this place to family & friends.

Liked: this was one of the best places ive stayed at. the owners were great, the location was great and the town was fantastic. theres heaps of local people around and they are all loveley and welcoming to visitors. the two brothers who own the hostel are wonderful guys and the breakfast is fantastic! its a perfect distacne to amalfi, capri and positano. easy to get to and an all found great palce for relaxing and having a great time. if i come back to italy i am staying here for sure

Liked: my boyfriend and i went backpacking around europe for 6 weeks and atrani was our favorite place. the town of atrani was wonderful. everyone there was the nicest person, and the town felt like a town instead of a tourist attraction like amalfi. i would highly recommend this hostel

Liked: Scalinatella is fabulous. I much preferrred Atrani than Amalfi, it is much less touristy and had a genuine Italian village atmosphere and only a 5 min walk to Amalfi. The hostel was very comfortable and so friendly. The two brothers were extremely helpful and I didn't want to leave! Atrani is a highlight of my 4 week trip and I can't wait to return.

Liked: This was a nice little hostel. The two brothers who run it were great-- very friendly and helpful. The hostel generally has a laid-back beach house feel. There was no common room, that we noticed, but the hostel is a 2 minute walk (at most) to the beach, and you could definitely meet people there. There was no security, really, but it really wasn't a problem. We have locks for our backpacks anyway. If you had a laptop or something, I'm sure one of the brothers would lock it up for you if you asked. The hostel is about a 10 minute walk from the bus station, not bad, although there are a lot of stairs. The Amalfi coast is all stairs, anyway, though, since the villages are built right into the mountains. Breakfast at this hostel was one of the best on the trip. Lovely breakfast room, with your breakfast served to you on a tray at your table. Cappuchinos were served with cocoa smiley faces! :-) Just remember that an Italian breakfast is usually crossaint and coffee, and don't go expecting eggs and bacon. The Amalfi coast is a great place to visit-- absolutely beautiful.

Liked: This hostel is in the next town across from amalfi in atrani, 10 minute walk. we found we preffered it. great hostel, really friendly staff and great breakfast. only problem,really noisy and the light in one room travels to all rooms as they dont have ceilings.

Liked: The rooms were clean and the hostel felt safe. The brothers who run it are very welcoming and friendly and gave us maps and helped us book our tour to Pompei. The breakfast offered is one of the best I have ever received from a hostel. The location of this hostel, in the smaller village of Atrani along the Amalfi coast, is excellent when making tours to Pompei, Capri and Naples. The beach is lovely too.

Liked: It was more like a hotel than a hostel which we didn't mind at all. The owner was very, very nice and helpful. The town is a little bit of a hike from Amalfi, but definitely worth it. It is such a cute village with nice people. We will definitely be staying there again on our next trip.

Liked: A nice hostel, dorms beds are in a cave type room, quite cool. It's only a 5 minute walk to Amalfi and there are restaurants in Atrani. Breakfast was good, coffee was fantastic. Beautiful area.
