Liked: Phillipe rocks. It shows that he likes what he does and he goes out of his way to make his guest stay enjoyable. He had a larger room with a private bathroom available so he upgraded us at no extra charge. The breakfast was well presented.

Disliked: There is no internet but there is a restaurant in the square that has free wifi, awesome guys running it and great value meels and drinks.

Liked: The hostel owner was extremely helpful. Due to a train strike, we couldn't go to Pompei from Sorrento the day we had planned. The owner gave us lots of information on trains and buses to help us get there from Amalfi instead, as well as packing up our breakfast for us as we were leaving quite early to get to Pompei. The location is also perfect for visiting Amalfi and Atrani, which are such friendly and beautiful villages. Also the breakfast is superb compared to most other hostels.

Disliked: The room we stayed in didn't have windows, and just had a wooden partition between us and next door, which didn't go completely up to the roof. This meant we got woken up when our neighbours arrived back. Also the sheets were damp, as no fresh light could get at them. It was a bit expensive, given the other places we stayed, but then the Amalfi Coast doesn't have that many hostels really.

Liked: The owner is really nice. Once you find it it's in a perfect location, a little hard to find but people were very helpful in the town square. Laundry costs 7 euro to wash and then to dry you hang it on a clothesline. Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs!

Disliked: The steep stairs!!

Liked: I was here 3 years ago and had such a wonderful time that I had to come back. Atrani is beautiful and the staff was the exact same, it was so nice.

Liked: I took my dad (who is almost 70) and besides walking from Amalfi with our luggage in tow, it was a great place to visit. It was a retreat from Rome and the business. The people were great, the food was fabulous and the area was absolutely beautiful. I want to bring my husband back here for sure. We have been on cruises and stayed in all inclusives so this was a nice change. I loved it and would love to be back soon.

Disliked: I will next time take a taxi or bus from Amalfi if I bring as much luggage as I had this last time. The walk is a good 10 min fast paced walk. I have no problem with that at all and quite enjoyed the walk except in the smokey tunnel from the cars driving by. The beach was fairly rocky and hard on my dads feet. I also don't like to pay for an umbrella and then that didn't leave much space for our towels. We didn't use the beach except for a quick cool off the one day.

Liked: The hostel is in a beautiful town on the Amalfi coast. It is very close to Amalfi (walking distance) but is far enough removed to be quiet and not as touristy.The breakfast was lovely and served in a beautiful location. There were lots of bathrooms with showers and the water was hot and they were spotless. The staff are polite and friendly.The rooms were cool despite the heat, quiet and clean. The hostel is a quiet retreat and not a party hostel.

Liked: The guy from the reception was nice, but he was never there and the reception was always left alone, with the door open for whoever. The facilities were also very bad, there was no boxes in the shower and to use the internet you had to go to a bar.

Liked: The manager of this venue has to be the nicest and happiest bloke on the planet i've ever met. Great breakfast, good room, clean and quiet. (No kitchen though) Great place to stay to get a feel for the real Amalfi and it's locals. Unlike the tourist packed Positano this place is the real deal and only a 7 minute walk to the town of Amalfi. Antrani (where the accom is based) is quiet and quaint and has just a handful of shops where you can get all the essentials and the cheapest meals on the coast. Amalfi had far better food, bottle shops, pateseries than Positano that just had ladies clothes shops and overpriced restaurants. We were really sad to leave.

Liked: They offer a free breakfast . Just a little tip there are a few sites this property have rooms in so its best to go to their office in the main square to register instead of following the signs around the town.

Liked: The owner and his brother were fantastic. They knew they area very well and were friendly and helpful in giving advice about what to do. They served a complimentary breakfast every morning that was definitely worth getting up for. The hostel is located in a very tranquil area and you get to know the people running the bar and the other people staying in the hostel very well. Everyone was nice and relaxed. The bar outside the hostel had free wifi which was awesome but other than that the town felt like a step back in time. Good times.

Liked: Breakfast is great. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Hostel is not in Amalfi but is in fact in the next town along, Atrani but it's not a very long walk to get there and there is also a bus too if you've got lots of luggage. Atrani is a cute, quiet town and it's not far from Amalfi so I'd recommend it - much cheaper to stay here if you're on a budget too. There are several restaurants close by. There's no common area to chill out or to meet people, there's no facilities like kitchen or internet but it's fine to stay a couple of days to see the surrounding beautiful area.

Liked: They were really friendly people who ran it. It was a nice clean room, bathroom didn't have great ventilation but its fine for a few nights.Bus stop was just above the square, and Atrani is only walking distance from Amalfi where you can get ferries from. I was only there for 2 nights but would def reccomend this place

Liked: Location was perfect, so close to Amalfi that it was worth the 10 min walk from Amalfi Town. The town itself is the real Italian village and it was amazing how the atmosphere changed in such a short walk.Amalfi is packed with tourists. Beautiful place, with public sandy beaches, not like in Amalfi- Really worth it !!!!

Liked: This hostel has a great location and the owners are very welcoming. 10 minute walk from the city of Amalfi. Plus, our room was seconds away from Atrani's small beach. However, our bathroom was very unclean. The drain was clogged and the water would leak into the rest of the room. We were expexted to mop the bathroom floor and the floor of our room after every shower with a stinky mop that made our room smell like wet garbage. We left Atrani three days early just because we couldnt stand the dirty bathroom. If you are picky about clean living quarters, I don't suggest that you stay at this hostel.

Liked: This was a great place to stay on the Amalfi coast. It's a charming little town, and much cheaper than Amalfi. You can walk to Amalfi in 5 mintues, the breakfast was wonderful, the staff was so nice and helpful, and it felt very safe. I would highly recomend this place to anyone who's traveling the Amalfi Coast.
