Country House L'ippocastano

The Country House "L'ippocastano" is situated in the middle of a green area close to the Cilento's National Park and is about 15 km distant from the ancient Greek colony of Paestum and from its sandy beaches. Rooms are all equipped with private bathroom, air conditioning, refrigerator and sat T.V.

Not far from Altavilla Silentina there are the Alburni mountains, whose highest peak )1742 meters) gives the name to the whole chain, the characteristic caves of Castelcivita and also Pertosa's caves which, unique in Italy may be visited on a boat crossing a lake originatedby an underground river.

Moreover it is possible to go on excursions through the National Park of Cilento and to follow gastronomic itineraries for the tasting of typical products such as the famous buffalo mozzarella, Cilento's white figs, the remarkable olive oil produced in Cilento and on the hills of Salerno and the DOC wine of Castel San Lorenzo.
