Liked: The donkey!!!

Disliked: They don't make your beds every day, or give you fresh towels, and if you want to eat something else, you really have to have a car to get to Sora. . .otherwise it's a 45 minute walk.

Liked: Lots of fun eating with and meeting lots of new people. Proximity to the national park where the scenery and walks are fantastic. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Liked: I loved being in the mountains. It was a beautiful way to spend my days--hiking, taking walks, exploring, and especially eating fresh, organic food!!! I enjoyed the farm's distance from town and the helpfulness of the staff to accomodate. If you stay long enough, you may begin to feel part of the family.

Liked: Everything! All the staff and volunteers were extremely welcoming and helpful, the location was convenient for hiking in the mountains and for walking to the nearest town, and I loved the rustic atmosphere and character of the place.

Liked: This place is magic. An organic, self-sustaining farm filled with amazing people, amazing food, and amazing ambiance. We loved everything about it...Don't forget to buy some of their homemade olive oil to take home - it is wonderful!

Liked: This property was averege, but 20 minutes walk away there is another farm that was fantastic! Friendly people, happy animals, interesting farming projects and so on. We highly recommend this place instead.

Liked: This is beautifully located right in the middle of nowhere (or so it feels), but this means that the staff and guests mix well and are really friendly - in fact it's difficult to tell who is working and who is on holiday!! but we loved every minute of our time here, the evening meals were great value for money and absolutely delicious! a great place to relax and soak up the atmosphere of rural italy - a brilliant idea, so good because of it's simplicity!

Liked: Great place to get away from the busy cities and hoards of toursits. Breath taking views surrounded by mountains. Home cooked Italian food all grwon on the farm and served with red wine also made on te farm. The family sit and eat with you on a huge table outside with a view of the mountains. The horse riding trip ws great and the cooking lesson was good fun.

Liked: The homemade food! so tastey! and meeting people from all over the world :) the activities are exspensive but they are the only thing to do here apart from lie in a hammock and read!

Liked: Loved it! The farm was great and it allows you to do all that a tourist would want. The cheese farm visit is really interesting and the food offered and made by Maria is traditional and really tasty. They make you feel completely welcome and at home. The only thing I would recommend is to take a few snacks if you don't have a car and also to make sure you take shampoo and soap as they don't provide it. I'm going back next month.

Liked: The staff is fabulous. It's more of a family atmosphere than a hostel. Everyone who stays there bonds. The waterfall hike was challenging, but fantastic. I would recommend staying here to anyone who's not afraid of getting a little dirty (not because the hostel is, but because there are many opportunities to hike in the woods, horseback ride, etc.). I'm going back for sure!

Liked: From the homemade bread and olive oil on arrival to running through the woods in the rain with Guiseppe, spending a day hiking with Antonello, making pasta with Maria to a reluctant goodbye five days later, everything about Farmstay was incredible. Sitting here at my computer I cant help but wonder why I'm not back there now, lounging in the hammock on the terrace looking out on the beauty of the hills of the national park, waiting for Maria to rustle us up another delicious home grown supper, and wondering whether tommorow should be spent, horse riding, hiking through the national park, driving into the mountains, making pasta, going to see the cheese making shepherd or just chilling out on the farm, eating figs from the tree. Go there now, before I buy all the rooms and move in!

Liked: At this farmstay, you are invited to enjoy a genuine rural family life in Italy. This is hard to find, and the family is so inviting, that you feel most welcome and at rest. We choose to rest in the hammocks the whole time, but you could do any number of fun activities hosted by Antonello. I highly recommend this place.

Liked: Italy Farmstay was a fun and relaxing experience. I had the opportunity to try things I hadn't tried before and see what life was like on a real Italian farm. This hostel is not an agriturismo, but rather an actual working farm where guests can take part in the daily work or become involved in other activities such as hiking, horseback riding or just sitting on the porch and enjoying the scenery. Antonello and his parents are wonderful hosts who are always willing to help you with whatever you need as well as making you feel like part of the family. If you aren't afraid to get a little dirty and rough it a bit, you can experience country living at its best while meeting new people and enjoying an interesting vacation.

Liked: great location/environment for those who love the outdoors/hiking/etc. the philosophy behind the farmstay is solid. antonello is passionate about his work and his passion is contagious. maria prepares homecooked meals which are superb, and giuseppe is eager to share his craftsmanship with the livestock, crops, and orchards. if you're looking to party, this isn't the spot for you. but for those of you who like to wander off the beaten path: i warn you that when you get here you just might fall in love and never want to leave.
