Old Jaffa is definately worth a visit. The character and atmosphere of the place is great and its nicely located in the middle of the flea market. Its easily one of the cleanest places going around and its about a 20 min walk to tel aviv. The staff we mostly helpful despite their gruff approach

Full of character, friendly staff, and a nice area to stay in. Jaffa is a really pretty part of town just bare in mind that it is just south of Tel Aviv so you need to take a bus or be happy with a good walk into town which is what I did and I was quite happy with the beach walk plus taxis are cheap.

I loved the creative atmosphere, from art pieces about the place to the little doors. My particular favorite was sleeping on the roof and meeting tons of lovely people from around the world!

Good cosy lounge area to meet people and an amazing roof to look over Jerusalem especially at sunrise/sunset. The guys once you got to know them where really helpful and friendly and if staying in the non dorm rooms then they are excellent for a budget hostel. Dorm room was alittle stuffy as no window to outside but if warm enough sleeping on the roof is a must.

Informal and trusting booking procedure and house rules. Fantastic location. Library. Decor. The owner's built-in tribute to his parents. One thing to be aware of, is that there's a fleamarket in the street and the surrounding area on Saturdays: great for shopping, but makes getting to the hostel by car, and unpacking, difficult. Allow extra time if arriving on a fleamarket day.
