Liked: The location is perfect! An easy walk to all attractions, and a block from the beach. The bedrooms are simple but clean and comfortable enough. The staff were all friendly and helpful when needed. The kitchen is well kept.

Disliked: The noise off the Alenby street will not stop- if that bothers you don't come. The door on the shower doesn't work, the wifi hardly worked, and the key doors are frustrating as all hell.

Liked: Its location. Very near to the seafront.

Disliked: As I said its really falling down into pieces. Even some of the toilets cannot be locked. The fridge in the kithen cannot close and a stool is put in front to keep the door closed. No security whatsoever - you are given a number to open the door which you can use even after you leave.

Liked: Very friendly staff that treated me really well. I especially appreciate the way they run the hostel with some firmness, for instance ensuring that the group of young women who were smoking and drinking on the girls' dorm balcony and shouting down to guys in the street, stopped and quieted down. A policy of no heavy drinking, no smoking, and quiet nights is upheld. Except of course that one of the dorm doors refused to shut and was being banged shut at all hours. Lovely and close to the beach and transporttion is easy. It is great that this hostel is clean and the beds are adequate and do not creak. Wifi,

Disliked: I wasn't thrilled with the atmosphere in the wintry neigborhood - Polish and Russian restaurants, schnitzel and wurst... and partying crowds coming by our window till deep in the night (even at 3 or 4 a.m.). Didn't feel unsafe at all to me though. Interior is a bit seedy and there are no locks on doors. There are lockers though with locks for sale, and a free storage of valuables at the desk, which is manned 24/7. Breakfast is nicely prepared but quite simple. Kitchen was not usable and smelled of cat pee (location was on the roof) but they helped me clean my strawberries downstairs. Still if I had been trying to cook for my own diet this would have been a nasty surprise.

Liked: the helpfullness of the staff and the location.

Disliked: it was not clean and not that safe. There was also a lot of noise and some drunken people interrupting our sleep. But they were kicked out of the hostel.

Liked: Excellent location, beach is a 5 minutes walk away, 24 hours supermarket just in front, bars and clubs all around, self service washing machines next door. Nice staff. Our 6 persons dorm was big and had an air condition. Fan is also available. The have free wifi and basic breakfast consists of toasted bread, butter, jam and cream cheese as well as tea or coffee. Free safe at the reception.

Disliked: Bathrooms cleanliness is average, beds are too short for persons over 1m85. Staff is very ticky with checking out on time and you will not be able to use any of the hostels facilities after 11 am. I thought it was not ok that they charge 15 Shekels for luguage storage. Explained them that most hotels and hostels offer this for free and they should do us well and they allowed me to leave it free of charge.

Liked: I liked the quite old quaint style. the roof was nice with cushions and a sofa and I just thought it was really nicely put together, with pretty friendly staff.

Disliked: I barely saw anyone else who was staying there, but i wasn't looking for a social hostel, having just arrived and I only stayed one night because I don't really like Tel Aviv.

Liked: everything a bit old, but clean. Really noisy especially on saturday.Friendliest staff I met in Israel, nice breakfast and very good airport shuttle service.
