Liked: I did enjoy my stay at Jaffa Gate. It was a great place to get together with people from all over the world, different cultures and religions.The staff was friendly and considerate. Since the dorm, I was supposed to sleep in was painted, I was given a private room for one night without further costs.However, I have to admit that the cleanliness of the bathroom have been an issue for me. They are not in the best shape and should be cleaned more often.Embarrasingly, I have to add that I came home with insects bites around my feet that look like flee bites. If the stem from the beds or sheets of the hostel or not, is not known.

Liked: Great location inside the Old City, our room had a nice view of the Holy Sepulchre. Perfect place to stay to explore the Old City and visit all the sites. Bathrooms could have been cleaner (shower, toilet, etc.). Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Liked: It was clean, but for $25 per bed, you would expect a towel, soap, and a fan. These items were available, but at extra cost. Pathetic.

Liked: great view over the old town, short ways to all famous places, kitchen and fridge to prepare your own breakfast (no gas available for 2 days), friendly and helpful staff

Liked: I stayed at this hostel and it was really a good decision to stay there. The location is perfect and the stuff was very helpful, especially Mr. Nour was quite attentive and helping people promptly giving enough information as requested. When i come back to Jerusalem, definitely I will stay here again.

Liked: the hostel is in a great location, the staff very nice to all guests, some guests they expect a 5 stars hotel for the little cost they pay, for me its the best place in jerusalem i will b back for sure, thanks for all the staff and the very nice people staying there...

Liked: TOP Locattion right near the Citadel in the Old City. But showers and toilets were very dirty. Beds were OK. NO SAFE OR LOCKERS!! Stuff was very friendly an helpful, and nice people the meet. But though I would recommand an hotel. Costs approx. 10 Shekel more and will be more clean. Personally I wouldn't stay there again.
