Liked: The location was amazing.. close to the gate, and beautiful views of Jerusalem from the top of the roof.. such priceless moments! The only thing that i felt not so happy was the value of the money..it was a bit too expensive for the services received.

Liked: Very good location, very friendly and helpful staff, quiet. We, me and may family, extended our stay so we spent five nights at the Citadel Hostel. I slept on the roof before the rain started. Then private room and old style. Clean showers and toilets. Kitchen OK but sometimes crowded.I recommend you to stay at Citadel Hostel!

Liked: We stayed 2 nights on the roof top terrace. First night was OK. However, when we came to the hostel on the second night we didn't have a place on the roof anymore and the young guy at the reception suggested that we could sleep under the stairs (no, thanks!). He also wanted to charge each of us 5 NIS for a pillow (whereas the night before it was included!). It was a very stressful night (as it started to rain a few times) and the young receptionist really couldn't be bothered to help us.My advice to people who stay more than 1 night- put something on your mattress- your backpack or some clothes in order to make sure no one takes your place!

Liked: I was switched to a female dorm but I was not asked - I was told it was best for me. I don't recomment this place to my friends but it is up to you. I know that the hostel contacted hostelbookers to update the website after my visit.

Liked: funky, could use more bathrooms but what a cool building, great views from the roof, good place to hang out, i reserved two days and stayed a week

Liked: really friendly staff, great rooftop view and if it's not raining, a nice spot to sleep on the roof, too. it's right in the center of the old city... I really recommend it, you will meet lots of different people there - not just the regular lonely planet crowd but also people with completely different stories.

Liked: management is completely incompetent/stupid. manager stated we didnt pay him the morning AFTER our first night's stay (we paid BEFORE entering our room just like in any hostel/hotel). overall in a good location with a great view of the old city from the roof. overall not a bad place... be very careful about payments MAKE SURE YOU GET RECEIPTS!!!

Liked: Fantastic architecture, friendly staff, very good value for money and excellently situated right in the middle of everything in the Old City. I would definitely stay here again.

Liked: the roof view is spectacular. the rooms can feel a slaightly claustrophobic, though as some look like a vine cellar with grotesque ceiling and no windows.

Liked: Is a great location, right in the middle of everything u need to see. The staff are not great helping you out for directions and stuff like this, the hostel is clean but I got really badly bitten by what I want to believe were mosquitos although I never saw or hear them. The atmosphere is good, is not a party hostel, and the place in general is nice.

Liked: We booked a double private room with the arrive in the morning... Unfortunately we arrive in the afternoon.... We lose the room without any phone call to advise us!! Then we had to stay in the dorm.

Liked: We slept on the room. Very nice option and cheap, but if you do make sure to bring ur own sheets. Got bitten up by bed bugs. The bed matts aren't the cleanest and mine had a hole in it. Otherwise very unique hostel in a great location.
