Liked: Great location, helpful staff and easy going atmosphere.

Disliked: They put a lot of people in my room. Small room with not much space. But, who wants to hang out in the bedroom ??

Liked: Cozy place just inside the walls of the old city. Nicely situated towards the center of all four quarters. There is a tasty Falafel spot right around the corner run by the sweetest lady in Jerusalem, and they have cold beer. The hostel has two kitchens and a coffee machine. Internet is free and the view from the roof top is stellar all day, but especially at sunset and sunrise.

Disliked: The bathrooms are a little cramped and can get rough. If your staying on the roof and it rains be prepared to get a little wet.

Liked: It has one of the best views in the old town. I've been to Jaffa Gate hostel before, this is better and cheaper. The young guy working at the desk is very helpful.

Disliked: Showers are a bit tricky to use.

Liked: the Bedouin style lounge was great and proximity to the rest of the old city was awesome

Disliked: if you stay on the roof there is nowhere to keep you luggage during the day also they take your bed away when you get up. Also the call to prayer from the mosque woke ,e at 3;30am everyday and were followed by the church bells at 7 which is nice but not good if you need a good rest, The showers were in an awful state

Liked: Hostel is Grt location And looks nice except the 'bungalow'

Disliked: bungalow. We were supposed to stay 2 nights. We only stayed 1 night. They should remove that option. Just leave open roof. Because you feel like you are in a coffin!!!! And they charge you more for that!

Liked: Citadel hostel is very nice. Location is beautiful - in the old city, we had a beautiful vew from the balcony, staff is very polite and helpful, prices are good, we could cook in the kitchen, I really enjoyed staying there.

Disliked: Dirty tablecloth on the table in the kitchen, it's better without it, but it's not very big disadventage:)

Liked: Good view from the roof; nice location next to the old main street.

Disliked: The so-called "bungalow" actually was a little plastic shed on the roof. Instead of beds, there were old mattresses laying on the ground and barely enough space to get our luggage inside. It was lousy cold although we took all the old and bad-smelling blankets they had (they must have been used as camel-blankets before!). Some washing facilities were mouldy.

Liked: The Roms are very atmospheric. Staff Is mostly very friendly and everybody that Works there Is a unique Charakter. The View from the gigantic roof terrace Is simply stunning. The Place Is central in the old City and about 15 minutes to the New City where Pubs and Night Clubs are located.

Disliked: Water temperature varying from ice cold to boiling Hot. The kitchen Is poorly equipped but has a Big fridge.

Liked: The location was good, the view from the roof top and it seemed like a well organized hostel.

Disliked: It was quite noisy, the bathroom facilities were too narrow and not in the best condition.

Liked: The common area to meet people from different parts of the world. The view from the terrace is just amazing and the staff is always very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: The hostel was very nice and it was pleasant to stay there but dorm number 1 is the most uncomfortable. When I stayed there it was dark and cold(no window) and the beds are a little shaky.

Liked: Fantastic location in the 'car free' old city .....wonderful to wake up to church bells and prayer calls from the various mosques. Sunrises and sunsets were particularly beautiful from the rooftop terrace.

Disliked: Mould on the walls in our room just needed a really good clean!

Liked: The staff were nice and helpful. Have a nice kitchen to use, environment was OK.

Disliked: The room was OK for the first night we stayed, then we got changed to another room because we want to stay two more nights. That room was pretty bad. For the price, the bed wasn't even really bed, and the room was filled with paint and the floor as well. Only one plug in the room, and with sign asking for 20 NIS for a heater a night was pretty bad. If they could provide one extra cover would be OK so it wouldn't be so cold.

Liked: the location and the roof

Disliked: We had two reservations, for the first one(December 24th) they erased our reservation,... , we where without hotel the day of Christmas, VERY BAD THING !!!! so...We were dislodged in a rotten and dirty hotel in jaffa gate. The winter it is very cold in rooms(chambers), the heating is no included ...you have to pay for a heater!!!
