The HaShimi Hotel & Hostel is the only hotel in the core or "heart" of the Old City of Jerusalem.

The building itself is over 400 years old! But you wouldn't know it once you're inside. The very modern and artistic interior features marble floors, stairs and railings. The entire hotel's color scheme is beautifully done in whites, beiges and maroons, with rich gold detailing..

Rules You Can Sleep By!
There are a three understandable rules at the HaShimi Hotel which are imposed by the management to ensure the rest and comfort of all the guests. I admit the rules may discourage a small percent of the world’s population from staying at HaShimi Hotel, but many of us will truly appreciate them. They are:

1. The HaShimi Hotel is totally alcohol free.
2. Smoking is not permitted within the sleeping rooms.
3. Co-habitation by unmarried couples is not allowed. They must have separate rooms. (However, the HaShimi Hotel’s romantic location and decor make it a very popular Honeymoon Destination.) you can exchange major currencies at the front desk.
