Liked: This was my 10th time in Jerusalem and I always stay at Citadel.

Disliked: It is what it is, not the cleanest, and the bathrooms are really tiny

Liked: Everythig was very good. Relation quality/price was also perfect knowing that the prices on Israel are high. We had our flight at night so they let us to left all the lugage, and they let us to rest there until night.

Disliked: The room was clean but the wall could need a hand of paint

Liked: Location and price. Our private room was very small, but cute. Temperature in the room was very good. Hostel is in a old city so you get what is available in places like this.

Disliked: Not clean kitchen. You can not get very good service in a old city for the price they offer.

Liked: VERY nice view from the roof. Interesting design of No2 private I was staying in - just stone walls, very like Jerusalem itself ;) Grocery store in 100 meters (turn right to Habad).

Disliked: No wifi on the roof!!! It is really a crime. Also they definitely need to renew everything in the kitchen. Is there an IKEA in Israel? Go there it won't take a lot of money. If you gonna book a place on the roof try to listen to muslim muezzin's songs on your ipod before you go. The better way is to put them on alarm clock at 4-5 am ;))))))

Disliked: No creditcards accepted, only cash (not told on HostelBookers.com). No help to get a taxi by the reception crew.

Disliked: Sheets were not clean. No soap in toilets. It was very hot and there were no fans in rooms.

Liked: The place has a lot of charme and the ancient character is unique

Disliked: It is very noisy and small. woke up at 7 because people were having a conversation just outside my room; their communication with god was not as good as it could be - its ok, i havent talked to my imaginary friend in a while either ... well, but i guess these experiences can differ, depending on where in the building you are staying at.

Disliked: Like all properties within the old city of Jerusalem, rooms are small and beds are well used but comfortable.

Liked: - central location, everything within walking distance- possibility to book tours in the hotel- nice, arabic-styled common areas, but terrible private room with dirty linen, no wardrobe and a tiny bathroom (shower literally above the toilet), very noisy

Liked: the location is perfect, in the old city. the hostel itself is a kind of grotto, which is nice but they could have done much more with it. the terace is really nice. the double room we were in was clean but smelled a bit mildew. the kitchen is a good place to meet people but the equipment dates back to the 17th century and hasnt been properly cleaned ever since. the management is almost absent. You can't get any precise information which is really a pity considering the fact that they are at the center of the old city.

Liked: With vaulted stone ceilings in the rooms, this is an absolutely unique stay. The room was clean and comfortable, but there were minor maintenance problems in the bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful.
