Liked: I just spent a weekend at this amazing "hostel", and I can't stop smiling! My friends and I rented out one of the Mongolian tents, which were made by the owner and her family, and are so much fun to stay in! They create a really cool atmosphere, very natural and old-fashioned...yet right outside the door there is a completely modern bathroom, and just a few steps brings you to a full kitchen, where each tent has color-coded dishes, pots and pans, utensils, and refrigerator space. The moshav (settlement) is very cute and quiet. There are a million flowers, and near the kitchen there is a garden of herbs and plants that can be used to make your own tea! Sara, the owner/hostess, was incredibly helpful and even picked my group up when we missed the bus stop, and then turned around and drove some of us to a supermarket so we could get food for our stay. The hiking trails start not five minutes from the tents, and are mostly well-marked and easy to hike. And for only around 100 NIS (around $25) a night, it can't be beat! I STRONGLY recommend Genghis Khan to anyone who wants a really unique and fun place for a night or a week or more! There were kids in some of the other tents, too, and they seemed to love it as much as we did--this is a truly family-friendly place. Ok, I'm going to stop gushing now. Just GO!
