The Ferry Hostel is situated in the wonderful heart of Tarbert Village; just minutes from Tarbert you will find Killimer Car ferry. Bank Restaurants, shops, pharmacy, post office, pubs, filling Station and bus stop are all within 100 meters.

Ferry House Hostel is the ideal touring base for the southwest and Midwest of Ireland. Many top class facilities are within easy driving distance. We provide the best base for sampling either the shore or boat fishing available in the area and if you prefer coarse fishing then salmon & seatrout fishing on the waters of the North Kerry Anglers Association is a short distance away on the river Feale.

To explore the local heritage, you can visit the Tarbert Bridewell Experience justice in the 19th century, which formed the main element in the administration of justice in Ireland at that time, using the story of a man arrested for stealing to feed his family, the Tarbert Bridewell Courthouse and Jail tells the story of this system.
