 When doing a long journey you want somewhere quiet and comfortable to sleep, and to grab a quick shower before you move on; this place was just that. Great price, location was about 10mins walk from city. Great value, especially considdering how expensive Ireland is to stay in at the moment.

we went on the off season and the hostle was very quiet. many people have said it is too far a walk into town, but the 15 minute walk was fine by us. the hostle diffenitly had charm to it. we truly enjoyed our stay in sligo.

I like: You really feel like at home. The beds are confortable. The toilets and kitchen are very clean.
I don't like: The room for 4 people was a bit small. The kitchen facilities are close at 10pm, it's a bit early...

The staff at the hostel were very friendly and helpful. The location was good for what we needed and the cost was reasonable compared to local hotels.

It was convenient to book, either by phone or by internet. It was a pity that sligo as a town was such a damp squib. Where has all the craic gone or has the celtic tiger ate that aswell? We had a few pints but that doesnt mean we were going to trash the place. The hostel and staff were fine(owner was a bit grumpy). Northern accents simple arent made to feel at all welcome. In future i will stay north of the border or in donegal where northerners can at least buy a pint without being shunned at the bar like a leper. Derry for Sam!
