Slane Farm Hostel is a charming, clean, delightful little place. It is the quietest place I've stayed in Ireland in the past month, and feels like a serious break from everything. If you dont have a car, the bus stop is a bit far from the hostel (1.5mi), but Joanne offered to pick us up at the stop (this may or may not be standard procedure, but it was an appreciated and kind gesture, especially considering the heavy rain).
The room was spotless. We booked a private room, but the room itself had a double bed and two bunk beds. However, it *was* a private room, we had it to ourself. Which, quite simply, meant we had a ton of room.
If I'm in the area again, especially if I have a car, I will certainly return.

The general layout and comfort of the rooms. The helpful attitude of the staff. The rural location is very attractive. It is to be highly recommended to potential guests.

Es un B&B de ensueño. Las habitaciones son amplias y limpias. En un entorno muy natural, la pequeña granja es un lugar muy recomendable para pernoctar. A 5 km Slane Castle, y a 45 km de Dublín. Volverémos !!

Clean and very homey. Country location, good for walks and getting away from it all. Quiet but friendly. Lots of books, free food, commitment to recycling. Sheep just next door. Good place to relax. Parking. Good for families. Might not suit those looking for proximity to a busy town, needing internet access etc but lots of information on the local area and bus available at end of the road.

If you're looking for a tranquil little place to stay while visiting the wonders of Slane and the Boyne Valley, the Farm Hostel is a good choice. The staff are super helpful in setting you up with what you need and recommending what to do and how to do it in the area. Be ready for a short hike into the village, but it's pleasant enough if it isn't raining.
