It is close to the town centre which is all very walkable. Cosy place, not very big and easy to meet people. Awesome spot for pubbing if you want to enjoy a night out - I even stayed an extra night of (pub) sight seeing!

It is open all year round, a BIG bonus in Ireland!
The hostel building is of Georgian style, with large rooms and landings, and a lot of period features. It gives it a special quaint atmosphere. Some walls are decorated with posters of past cultural events, adding an art gallery impression. Local practical information is posted as well.
The kitchen is large and well-equiped.
The hostel is located in the heart of the town, another plus.
The staff is quite helpful and pleasant, even under pressure.
Living in Ireland, I find the cost of B&Bs extravagant (not even considering hotels), and will go anytime for this kind of hostel, allowing travellers to discover the heart of Ireland at a low cost.

I was very dissappointed with the hostel we were greeted by a girl who didn't know much about the area e.g. where I could park my car etc. there was the most disgusting smell in the halls. Toilet facilites were inadquete. Overall very dated and the feeling of it being unclean

Nice place, close to the centre. a bit of a walk to the train station but nothing that will kill you. a great place. i met some lovely people too.
