We are an independently owned, Irish Tourist Board approved Hostel located right in the heart of Kilkenny City.
The Hostel is in a beautiful three storey Georgian townhouse with most of its original features still intact. We offer a mix of dormitory, family room and private room accommodation at budget prices.
We have a spacious, fully equipped kitchen and dining area and a lovely sitting room with an open turf burning fire. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed.
New for 2007 is free Wi-Fi access. We also have free lockers, a laundry service and no curfew or lockout.
Our notice boards give detailed information on where to go, what to do and how best to enjoy your time in Ireland's medieval capital. We'll let you know where to hear the best traditional music sessions, how to do a free tour of Kilkenny Brewery and when the hurling matches are on.
We are recommended by the Lonely Planet, Let's Go, Routard and Rick Steves' guide books and are a member of the Independent Holiday Hostels of Ireland.
Enjoy a home away from home and a warm and friendly welcome. Our reception is open until 11pm for check ins.
Please note that not all our availability is online so if you cant find the dates you're looking for or if you want to book one of the private room just email us or give us a ring. Also please note that security deposits are imposed on all groups of 6 or more. Please contact us if you make a booking of 6 for details of this deposit
Lonely Planet says:
"In a rambling 1770s Georgian townhouse, this wonderful independent hostel has a charming, cozy sitting room warmed by a glowing open fireplace, and a timber- and leadlight-panelled dining room. There's a decent self-catering kitchen (though no breakfast), and staff are ace."
We say:
Hope to see you here soon.
