Liked: I liked that the hostel was right next to the bus station. You didnt have to go far to get places.

Disliked: The rooms were very crowded. Some times it was very hard to get inbetween the beds. Also there was only one key for each room, so you had to leave the key in the room in the while you were in the room.

Liked: I stayed here for a week in October 2009 and recently went back for a Saturday night in June 2010. This Hostel's main drawcard is its super-central location. One door back from Eyre Square it is over the road from the train station and around the corner from the bus and coach stations. It is an older building so those who prefer chrome and glass might be disappointed. In my opinion they pack too many beds into each modestly sized dorm. This being Galway the partying outside your window can go on all night and into the next morning – it is advisable to bring earplugs. If you want a nice quiet early night don’t stay in the centre of Galway. Like many Irish hostels prices vary wildly depending on which night of the week you’re looking for. Breakfast is the backpacker basic – cereal, toast and jam. Bring a padlock for the handy under-bed lockers and you’ll be smiling. I’m not sure if I’d rate it as being good value – I consider all accommodation in Ireland to be very over-priced. This does seem to be priced in line with its competition and the friendly welcoming staff are a nice bonus.

Liked: It was incredibly easy to find and the staff was great! The only complaint we had was that there was a karaoke night going on at one of the neighboring bars which was incredibly loud, but that is probably not an every night occurrence and it ended at 12:30am. We really didn't spend too much time within the hostel as we were just in Galway one night, but it was a great place to crash.

Liked: i love this hostel! i stayed there the second time and i'd do it again! nice people, really friendly stuff, breakfast and wifi are included, perfect location...the only bad thing was that we could hear and feel the music from the pub which is right beside the hostel...but despite of this i'd stay there again!!

Liked: This hostel doesn't look nice from the outside, but it's relly nice! Nice and helpful stuff - whatever you want/need - you get it! The kitchen is small and nice, you'll find everything you need. The room was ok for four people. And the location is perfect! Just beside the busstation and Eyre Sqare. You also get free tea, coffee, milk and butter the whole day!If I'm looking for a hostel next time in Galway I defenitely will book my bed in Galway City Hostel!!
