Liked: Great location, nice and warm, would recommend to others.

Disliked: There were a lot of guests staying so the breakfast room was packed which made it a bit hard to get around. Also we stayed in 10 bed dorm with its own private bathroom which actually complicates things due to it being one shower and one toilet for 10 people! Luckily there were only about 5 people in there on our night but it was still a long wait for the bathroom in the mornings

Liked: It was cheap, clean, hot shower, breakfast included, laid out well, looked nice, friendly people.

Disliked: power of shower could have been stronger, lockers that aren't under bed

Liked: Nice new hostel. Good lounge/dining area with pool table etc. Good, well equipped kitchen also. Clean bedrooms with lockers and comfy beds. Bathrooms clean but starting to look a bit tired already. Good showers/hot water. Good service from reception staff, and nice to have someone available 24hrs.

Disliked: Wasn't an issue for us, but with only ensuite rooms, you could be waiting a while for a shower in the 12 bed dorm, without any other options.

Liked: exellent location, all the tourist spots are with in walking distance,, good common room equipped with computers,sofas,t.v,, you can get an oppertunity to share views with other travellers, breakfast was up to mark, cleanlines perfect, organized staff would always b here at the desk to help you , and they can update you about all the city attractions if you are not already aware of that with the help of explanatory brouchers.

Disliked: not at all.

Liked: Quiet, clean, great beds with clean sheets and comforters.

Disliked: Traffic from the road was a tad noisy. More of a hotel than a backpacker hostel feel but perfect for a good night's rest.

Liked: The location is very good and the facilities are sparking clean. The lounge is pretty good too with a big tv and nice couches. The beds are comfy and the comforters are nice.

Disliked: While the lounge is nice, it doesn't encourage the hostel goers to socialize or interact. There isn't much of a fun, let's go out and do stuff atmosphere.

Liked: The staff were very warm and welcoming.

Disliked: There is only one bathroom for each 10 bed dorm resulting in long queues and you felt like you had to rush when showering because you knew other people were waiting. There was no other toilet or sink available to use, so if you just wanted to use the toilet or brush your teeth you had to join the queue of people waiting to shower. The bathroom was an en suite with very poor ventilation, so the steam from the shower and any nasty bathroom smells filled the bedroom. Due to the lack of ventilation there was also thick black mould growing on the back of the door. To make matters worse the heating was on, IN JULY! which made the bathroom problem worse and most of the people in my dorm were complaining that they were too hot to sleep. It is the least centrally located hostel in Galway and by far the worst. It could be improved greatly by the addition of two communal bathrooms with showers/ toilets/ sinks. I would not reccommend this hostel.

Liked: It was right next to the bus station and only a very short walk (2.5mins) to the main streets! It is so new so feels more ike a hotel, which is a great treat if you've been backpacking for ages! The staff were wonderful and very helpful (even helped me find a job) and breakfast was good. The kitchen although a bit small and pushy when it's busy is practically brand new and very clean!

Disliked: The internet is very expensive, as with the rest of galway, but if you have wi-fi it's free, so no problem. The rooms got very hot at night and the window's couldn't really open. It's good to have an ensuite, but if you are in a 10 bed dorm and one person takes a shower (toilet is in same room) it can mean quite a wait!! But with courteous people and good planning, again this isn't a big problem.... plus there is a toilet in the common room if you're desperate!
