Liked: Friendly staff

Disliked: the showers were on of the worst

Liked: The rooms were clean enough and comfortable, the location was excellent, the atmosphere fun, and they provide computers with internet for free.

Disliked: the showers were bad and not always the cleanest and breakfast was really bad. the other place i stayed in dublin for the same price had a huge buffet for breakfast but the only thing kinlay house offered was toast and jam. i found that a lot of people bought there own cereal and eggs, which really defeats the point of staying at a place that advertises free breakfast

Disliked: As stated above window did not close in my bathroom. Also booked a private room and was allocated a top bunk. this would have been fine if sharing the room but as I was only person in room a bit ridiculous. I would have changed bunks except apparently there is a fine if you take the bunk not allocated to you. I was so dissapointed that I cancelled my next booking. I dont normally complain about hostels as you expect to rough it when backpacking but this place was just down right bad.

Liked: Although the room I stayed in was big, there were so many beds you didn't really get much room for your stuff. There were also flies in the room. However, it's in a good location, and the staff were great.

Liked: This hostel was in a brilliant spot, right next to the Temple Bar district and only 10mins walk from the Guinness Storehouse and Grafton Street.However, it was not very clean and the room was very shabby. The security of the hostel itself was great (lockers, key cards and security passes) but in our room itself the windows did not lock and the bathroom door did not even shut. The bathroom itself was a wet room with dirty facilities and chewing gum stuck to the floor - not nice. The communal bathrooms were no better. I have stayed in quite a few hostels and this one was not great, but, if you are only going to Dublin for weekend like we did, and you can cope with the lack of cleanliness, it's in a great spot for nightlife and sightseeing and is a good place to meet other travellers.

Liked: Everything was pretty good. The location was the awesome. I would recommend to others, but lockers are not located in rooms and very small. Also, you have to pay a euro a day to use them. The breakfast was not good - just toast and tea or coffee.

Liked: This hostel is in a great location right next st george street in the temple bar district. The commons is really social and always has people in the evening to meet and go out with. The guys who work there were always willing to help and even went out with us.

Liked: Kinlay House is a great hostel when you are travelling with friends or even with your girlfriend. I have stayed in a private room and have nothing to complain. The only weak point is the private bathroom which is not the best I've ever seen, but stills OK. No doubt that this is the safest hostel I've being and it couldn't be better localized (only a few steps from temple bar and other major attractions in the city). All in all, I definitely recommend this place for short stays (up to 5 days).

Liked: this hostel has a great location, right next to the temple bar. The guiness storehouse is also in easy walking distance. Breakfast in the morning was reasonable and the kitchen looked well equipped, although we didn't cook there.
