Liked: It was a place to crash, but the employees at Paddy's Palace went the extra mile to make certain each person's stay there was safe, secure, and fun. In addition, with two night's stay a tour of Ireland with a central stop in Kilkenny comes free, a 25 euro value! While the place did not have paper towels or handdiers in the lue to each room, the majority of the facilities were comparable to other hostels. The staff is very helpful directing guests to the best hangouts and sights in Dublin. The airport pickup and dropoff was a 6 euro savings each way. In other words, this hostel is an incredible value for the money!

Liked: This hostel was fine. Good location and decent enough facilities. The only reason I stayed here was for the free day trip which made it very worth while. The rates were however alot for accomm and no trip and I wouldnt stay there again if the trip wasnt included. You also had to access your accomm from the side street and buzz reception to wait for them to let you in. This was annoying when you are waiting in the rain for the busy reception staff to let you in. Ok hostel I would only stay here if i intended on taking advantage of the free day trip!

Liked: I've stayed at a few hostels and while Paddy's Palace wasn't bad, it wasn't the best either. It's pretty average so if you can find a place cheaper in Dublin I'd go for it. Most of the hostels are all located on the same street so you could even take the paddy wagon from the airport and just walk down the street to your hostel. The noise can be pretty bad with people walking up and down creaky steps all night so that was one of my main problems. that an someone threw up in the sink in the bathroom and no one bothered to clean it up.

Liked: NO HOT WATER on our level, when I told the staff member about it I was told to use another floor, did so and got hot water for a whole of 5 secs! Room really basic and place is falling to pieces, staff don't give a shit!

Liked: Not much really, its clean and most of the staff are ok. BUT booking online in advance to arrive and find people paying 8-10 EURO less than you for the same night as walk-ins is annoying. Also being put in a "mixed" dorm and being the only female in a full 8 bed room is not my idea of comfortable or MIXED, funny the staff seemed to think it was acceptable.

Liked: Location and service. No Hot water though. Breakfast is Toast and Cereal. Small Private Twin (bunk beds) not a lot of room to store bags. Suit for small bags/short stays. Would have trouble with big backpacks

Liked: very safe, located right around the corner to the bus eireann coach station and in 5min walking distance to the city centre. great staff, great tours on offer - heaps of fun for sure.

Liked: rooms were clean but could be aired as they were a bit smelly. staff helpful and friendly. easy to get to/from the airport. internet very slow. day baggage storage not as organised/safe as it should be... people are trusted to put in & collect their belongings. facilities basic but all you need when you are there just to sleep :)

Liked: The staff was nice enough. But if you are not the name on the room it is difficult to get help. Like I had my name on two beds and the other person I was with came back at a different time and they were asked where I was and why wasn't I with them even though are beds were in different rooms.

Liked: Paddy's Palace in Dublin was a good basic overnight stay - perfect for before or after a Paddywagon tour. It is very hostelly, as in plain, clean & simple, so it wouldn't be a place to stay for that long although if budgets are tight then it certainly suffices!It was located not far from the centre i.e. Temple Bar area - definitely walkable within 20 mins. It was safe inside the hostel as there was always someone who controlled who was let in at night.Would recommend this pre or post Paddywagon tour for sure!
