JERROLD WARDIt was generally ok but the internet didnt work initially because staff wasnt aware that the wireless password had changed. They messed up my booking and I had to move rooms near the end of the stay. Staff didn't have change for cash payment either. Reception often not manned. TV signals from antenna in room are weak. Staff though was generally good and helpful though. While expensive for me thinking in terms of Canadian dollars, overall it's cheaper in a very very expensive city such as Dublin. Overall a decent place to stay and is recommended for those who don't mind being 15 minutes away from the city centre. |

Customer reviewThis is not the Ashfield House in the Rough Guide. It is a 15 min bus ride out of the city centre. This is is fine but you can wait up to 40 minutes for the bus. The room was adequate and clean but there were problems hence the cheap price. Friendly staff who did their best but I would pay a little more if you can and get a little more central. |

Jonas Grahn- nice for a stay not longer than a week - very friendly staff, very familiar - if you have no too high expections you´ll be happy about this hostel - sometimes the location is a problem (bus nr 11 is the only one goingt to city centre and sometimes the next bus just does not arrive at your stop (from city to clonskeagh road) |

Customer reviewThey did not serve a full irish breakfast as written on homepage, a bit of a shame because we wanted the kids to try that:-(( But the staff was excellent, very nice people. |

Customer reviewGreat and friendly staff. Location right next to a bus stop--1.60 euro to get to city center. The walk is enjoyable and manageable taking around 40 minutes to get to Temple Bar at a leisurely pace. Pleasant room, simple but delicious breakfast. Fast wifi was a plus! Felt more like a B&B than a Hostel. We stayed in both the ensuite and the non-ensuite bathroom rooms while we were there and they were both pleasant and nice, although the non-ensuite rooms do not get good wifi signal. Amusingly enough, this B&B shares the building with the Chuck Norris Summer Residence, FYI. I would stay here again because of the reasonable price and the pleasant atmosphere, although if you are accustomed to luxury I don't know if you will manage. |

Scott VanderleeThe price for private room with ensuite bathroom is why we booked. Staff was very nice and breakfast was great. Loved that we had free wifi but the connection in our room was off and on. Location is away from city centre but is very easy to use transit via bus outside the door or the short walk to train station. |

Thierry Ndedi PendaThe staff is helpfull, the breakfast is really excellent.Sometimes,it's noisy because you can hear people in the others rooms. It's in a quiet area,so it's nice but if you intend to go out for party and come back late,it's a little bit annoying(but from the center if you take a taxi, you''ll pay approximately 12 euros,so it's not so bad). What i didnt' appreciate is that they didnt clean the room every morning(maybe it(s the policy of the place).I use to travel,so for the same price,i've been in places that are really less good.So it's fine. |
