Liked: A really good hostel for an adequate price (double ensuite), individual lockers in the rooms, tasty full Irish breakfast, only a short walk to the city and very friendly staff as well as much useful information material available to do in Dublin.

Liked: Everyone was very friendly and helpful and talking to the staff was easy. The bedrooms were very clean.

Disliked: Only one computer for guests... I have my own, so wifi would have been nice to have, but did not overall detract much from my visit.

Liked: The Hostel is very safe, close to temple bar and affordable. Breakfast is good.

Disliked: I found some of the staff particularly rude, one in particular an older guy and i dont think there was one person in the hostel that he didn't insult or annoy. Although this hostel is safe, its very over the top with its rules. you cannot enter the building without being buzzed in, you have to show your room key and a piece of paper ,that im sure almost everyone lost or threw away not knowing how important it was, to reception or they will not let you in. even if you have a booking. The common areas are closed at 11pm which also includes the smoking area. The wifi wasnt working while i was staying. The shower is cold and the drain was blocked, there is a huge space between bunk beds which is fine if your on the bottom bunk if you get the top bunk, watch your head when you wake up! my room was located under reception so all through the night you can here the very annoying door buzzer and people walking around and even the traffic. There is no atmosphere here at all... if your backpacking and you want to socialise and have fun i reccomend you atay accross the road at Issaccs hostel which has a bar and a sauna for the same price, they have friendly staff and pints for 2.50...

Liked: Great breakfast and really friendly staff. Comfy beds too.

Disliked: No lockers in the dorm but the desk could lock small things up for you on request. Also it said on the website 'free parking' but when we arrived it was full. They directed us to a car park that only cost 6 euro for overnight, but it was a bit of a walk away with our bags and don't say free if its not.

Liked: The "old grandeur" style, convenient location, green patio and the free breakfast, of course!

Disliked: staying in the dorm we could hear very clearly all voices and noises from the kitchen early in the morning- the walls must be paper thin ?

Liked: Good location with mostly helpful staff. Very substantial breakfast on offer!

Disliked: The dorms are mostly in the basement, so pretty dark and a bit dingy. Though most staff were helpful, one individual was both extremely rude and really unhelpful.

Liked: The location of the Hostel is in good location between Abbey Street and 'O' Connell street.

Disliked: 1) Its breakfast is included in the price but the breakfast is not 100% buffet. Its breakfast is 70% buffet. Rest items like eggs, sausage, beef etc are limited and the lady at the counter distributes it limited way. One day I asked for an extra egg and lady refused to give initially but later she gave. This hostel should make the breakfast as 100% buffet free at per customers satisfaction. 2) I stayed there for six nights but breakfast menu is same for all the days. There is no variety at all. 3) This hostel has check out time of 11:00 hrs. When I reached there around 13:00 hrs, the owner said the room is not ready. I had to wait till 14:00 hrs to get the room. The reason may be that they have limited number of staffs to make the room ready or their cleaning staffs are not well trained to clean the room very fast. They take three hours to clean the room. Rooms are not as much lucrative as they take three hours to clean. 4) Owner is very casual to reply e-mails. After several requests owner reply the mail.

Liked: It has a nice lounge area and great free breakfast in the morning. Also the location is good, close to the bus station and O'Connell St. and most of the major sights are within a five to ten minutes walk.

Liked: The location, computer facility upstairs and the breakfast were ok.

Disliked: The dorms do not have plugs in, most of the bedside lights don't work, they control the main lighting from reception which is totally ridiculous as the lights are on all day when no one is in the rooms and they often forget to turn them on away! The male staff at this hostel are also absolute idiots which are willing to do nothing for anyone and can often be difficult with people if there is a problem. Be careful also with how much they charge you. They tried to charge three different groups of us the wrong amount! Definately over priced as well!

Liked: It was a great hostel we loved being able to stay there!

Disliked: no wifi throughout the whole building but there is a computer offered near reception.

Liked: The staff was very helpful and they had a GREAT breakfast that was included in the price!

Disliked: The shower had mold above on the ceiling and it could use some updating. Also, no wi-fi in the rooms below, only up by the breakfast area.

Liked: the atmosphere was great and is located close to all the things you can see in Dublin, also is easy to get there from the airport. Some of the staff was really kind and nice.

Disliked: The inflexibility in changing rooms or beds inside the same room, I went with other 10 friends and we were all in different rooms, we asked if it was possible to arrange so we all can be toghether in one room and they didn't gave us that option. Then I wanted to change bed in my room and the denied me the chance because the bed was "arranged for someone else" that never arrived.

Liked: it was cozy and comfortable. the breakfast was nice, and it wasnt just one of those usual hostel breakfasts - they had sausage, bacon eggs, hashbrowns. the free computer use was nice too. the location was good, within walking distance of most of the major atractions, and the bus stop for the airport bus was right outside the hostel, and but both nights I stayed there, I walked back to the hostel, drunk, at night, by myself, and I never got lost trying to find it.

Disliked: the bathroom door didnt have a lock, and the shower just had a clear glass door, and there was always a line up for the shower in the morning. there was a lot of room between the top and bottom bunk, which would be great if you are on the bottom bunk, but if your on the top bunk, its a long way to climb to the top, which can be difficult when drunk.
