If you are looking for the friendliest hostel in Dublin, steeped in Irish history, look no further! We are located less than 200 meters from the world famous Guinness storehouse and provide friendly, clean accommodation at great prices!!

Our rooms include a mixture of 4, 8, and 10 bedded dorms as well as a small number of twin/double rooms. All of our private and dorm rooms are en-suite. Bed linen is supplied.

We offer a free breakfast every morning of cereal, toast, coffee and tea.
The Brewery Hostel, once a public library opened in 1884, was one of the several houses in the street where Lord Edward was hidden after the collapse of the insurrection by the united Irishmen (of which he was one of the leaders). Lord Edward was later shot when major Sir fired his pistol. He was brought to new gate goal, where he died.
Over the years members of the library staff on winter evenings had heard strange noises on the upper floor 'Lord Edward is walking again' they would say and no one dared go up…now in 2007, we are a buzzing hostel, and hostel staff have yet to hear the foot steps of Lord Edward (let us know if you do!)

We also have a lockup behind the 24 hour reception for valuables and such. We are more than happy to help you with local knowledge, booking tours or advise you on the best ways to find work!

Check-in time is at 2pm (although we have a luggage room where you can store your bags if you are early) Check out time is at 10:30am.

You can relax in our spacious TV/common room or if the weather permits, out in our garden courtyard.

The hostel is in walking distance from a number of Dublin's most popular tourist attractions...The Guinness Storehouse, Temple Bar, Kilmainham Goal, City Centre, Trinity College and the Old Jameson Distillery.
