As I am a railway enthusiast it's close proximity to the railway station is a plus factor andI like the place! This was my third visit.

Very helpful staff, especially when we arrived quite late, very tired and a miscommunication regarding our reservation.... got a little frustrated, however the 'night-clerk' was most considerate, helpful and kind given our VERY tired 'state'.

This hotel is near the Drogheda bus station and the city center. And it has a living-room with homey atmosphere.

It is the only one in Drogheda. The cafe below the rooms we had in the separate building was superb, but nothing to do with the Hostel.

It is the best place to be outside of Dublin. It is in close proximity to some amazing local Irish sights, like Slane Hill and the Newgrange monuments. The town Drogheda is very small, but cozy.

Liked: Very friendly and relaxed staff, big rooms, big well equipped kitchen, hot showers, nice location within Drogheda, Drogheda itself is probably the best alternative to staying in Dublin if you can't find a place there. Disliked: There was a lot of soot on all the kitchenware, the shower drains did not work so it was more like a footbath when you took a shower, the rooms where cold in cold weather, the breakfast was a little boring as it consisted only of cornflakes and toast with jam.
