Liked: Good backpacker asmosphere and nicely integrated with the bar

Liked: There was a quaint feel to it, though I did visit midweek. I'm sure the place is kicking when the weekend comes.

Disliked: There's little description of the parking, as little is available. I wouldn't want to try and get there by car again.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff, close to train station and even closer to bus station.

Disliked: Room was really quite cramped with six occupied beds in it. Breakfast is very basic (toast, butter, jam, milk, cereal).

Liked: very friendly and helpful staff. the washroom (and even the toilet in the bar) is kept in excellent condition

Disliked: showers had no hot water that night we stayed, but it's probably a one-off problem

Liked: Friendly staff, helped me get around outside of Cork. Breakfast is toast, jam, cereal, coffee and tea If I remember correctly. * Comfortable beds! Quite a quite place in the winter, good to catch up on sleep after Dublin.

Disliked: They do know how to pack 3 bunks into a small room.

Liked: Really close to the bus station, walking distance from the central district. Bar downstairs where they held functions, we even got a free bbq when we stayed there which was awesome.

Disliked: Rooms were kind of small, couldn't fit my lock on the lockers that slide under the bed, think you need a bike chain kind of lock or something.

Liked: It was pretty average nothing too exceptional but I really couldn't complain about anything either.

Liked: The staff were fantastic, happy to help with everything from car hire to minding valuables Everything was included in the rates and nothing was too much trouble This place just makes sense. Service with a smile!

Disliked: There could be a few more bathrooms for the umber of guests they have

Liked: very good location, bar downstairs. a kitchen so you can cook for yourself.

Disliked: the bar didnt get very busy while i was there, so took away from the atmosphere a bit

Liked: Secure, friendly staff, close to bus station, free internet, breakfast served until 10.30, washing service

Disliked: Only one computer was working and was quite slow, quite dark in main lounge room, small ensuite toilet/bathroom

Liked: loved the live music, the staff where friendly and great to chat too, it was very easy to find from the bus station, loved that is was a pub so it was even easier to meet people and had a great atmosphere!

Disliked: the dorm i was in had 6 beds but was really only suitable for 4 beds, no lockers in dorms however the drawer's under the beds where fine there just wasn't a lock on them, the hostel didn't serve food.

Liked: The downstairs bar is comfortable with a large selection of beers and convenient because it stays open very late. It's a great place to hang out, meet people, listen to the nightly live music, watch TV or just hang on to a pint. The rooms are clean and secured by multiple keyed doors. There wifi on every floor. The location is central, very close to other pubs and restaurants, the city centre, the train and coach stations. It was very easy to find.

Disliked: Nothing, it's a great place.

Liked: The beds were comfy and it was easy to meet other people down at the downstairs bar. The showers were hot and there are two computers that guests can use in the tv room. The staff was really knowledgeable of Cork and what to do around the city. I also really liked how there is a seperate door for guests to use so we didn't have to walk through the bar to get to our rooms all the time.

Disliked: The first night we stayed here there was a raggae concert and the bass was blasting til around 1.30am. We were staying in the room right above that so the whole room felt like a mini-earthquake. There was also a lot of chatter and drunk girls yelling during this period as well. The room was not clean. The walls had marks on them and there was a dead bug on the wall left behind by who ever had kill it.

Disliked: Nothing. Satisfactory in every way.

Liked: Bru Bar was clean and the location is one of the best you're going to get for Cork. The free internet was great and the Bar downstairs was really chilled and comfy.

Disliked: There's not any free parking that's walkable to the Hostel, and it's a bit of a faff to move the car from on street to the station etc, but the staff were helpful in telling us the best way to do it. The beds are made of foam and so are very hard. The private 3 bed room that we shared came with a very clean en suite but the room was tiny and felt a bit like a cell.

Liked: The staff were VERY helpful and friendly. I had lost my camera and the guy at the front desk directed me to a good camera shop and got me a great discount. The bar was alot of fun and very easy to meet people. Free internet was a bonus and this place was great value for money.

Liked: Good location good breakfast, very secure like four locked doors to go thru before our room

Disliked: read this comment before booking but ignored and wishing now we hadn't: walls like paper! No nightlife. You have to change room keys every day
