Liked: The location was very good: a short walk to the city centre. There were all the essential facilities and a nice comfortable vibe.

Disliked: The kitchen was not particularly clean or well-equipped.

Liked: Really nice, homey. The wifi connection is really strong, amazing kitchen, TV, cinema and sauna.

Disliked: push button showers can be kind of annoying and you can't get wifi in the rooms but other than that it's realy nice.

Liked: Friendly staff, sauna (!!!).

Disliked: Not a very good lockation. You have to literaly climbe up a hill to get to the hostel.

Liked: The location's perfect. When I wanted to get the bus which departs at 9:15, even though I went out from the hostel at 9:10 (becuz I waked up late;), but I got the bus in time! Like this, it's so closed to the main bus station and the city centre as well. I really appreciate the staff especially who is more or less 30 - 40 years old man. He is so energetic and friendly that it makes me feel really good to travel:) The kitchen's huge enough to cook and eat properly and clean as well. Even there's a TV and lots of tables so that we can take a rest and have a small talk with friends!

Disliked: Almost nothing... The internet fee's quite expensive but it's normal in hostel in general. So If you wanna use Internet at cheaper price, there's also internet cafe which is closed to the hostel and is opened until late! ah, and it's located on the hill~ so that we can enjoy some simple exercise while getting the hostel~x) but for someone who hate just walking to the hill even for 3 min Be careful!! haha

Liked: decent atmosphere, employees were very nice

Disliked: showers were few, the main shower room was located in the basement and reminded me of something out of a horror film. there were exactly two toilets and two showers on our floor and at least half a dozen rooms, each with probably 8 people in them, how does that work?

Disliked: Have paid a lot less for a lot better.

Liked: near to bus station, good security on the door after curfew, friendly helpful staff. Good atmosphere in sitting/dining room people chatty sofa in front of telly. Loved the patio area nice to have lunch outside or go for a drink/cigerette, without leaving the hostel.

Disliked: Hill and lots of stairs were a pain with luggage when your on the top floor, but keeps you fit!! Kitchen annoyed me slightly as no plugs to wash up and push taps spashing, making cleaning up after cooking annoying which leads to lots of people not washing up after themselves!

Liked: Great location, city centre only a few minutes footwalk away. The person behind the reception desk was extremely welcoming and helpful. Great price per night.

Disliked: The room I stayed in must be the smallest I ever stayed in a hostel. A veritable "snake" of a room with 6 beds (3 bunkbeds) crammed in, where I could touch both sides of the wall at any place in the dorm. The floor in the bathroom was dirty & mouldy. I am not so sure if I like to come back again.

Liked: Close to the bus station and city centre. Reception sells alot of stuff that people always forget, and its reasonably cheap.

Disliked: The bathrooms were disgusting....

Liked: Clean and near the city centre, helpful staff, huge kitchen !

Disliked: Its not a good idea to have a car in this city :-/ Even for the parking of the hotel you have to pay (from 8:30 am...) Very bad night because of my flatmates, noisy and not respectful with other people in the dorm. Shame on them ! And I'm polite ...

Liked: Very friendly staff, good kitchen.

Disliked: Dirty floor in the room and in the kitchen....I would suggest the use of a broom!!! Room number 2 (the one just behind the reception) is a little bit noisy...

Liked: The kitchen was well equipped. Friendly helpful staff.

Disliked: Room I had had poor ventilation so was very stuffy. Not exactly a clean place.

Liked: I liked the central location to the city centre and the bus station.

Disliked: The only downside to it's location is the very steep hill you must climb initially with your bag.

Liked: Place felt good and secure, and has a good location 10 mins from city centre and bus station.

Disliked: No lockers in dorms, although you can get a locker on the ground floor. Charges for internet access (not expensive, but still). The staff not really aware of, or informative on, things to do or see in the city.

Liked: Bedroom was really clean.

Disliked: Internet was not free of charge. It would not matter unless the PC are not slowed down by some virus or what was that. Location was not great, but it is maybe only my opinion, because I did not like Cork and neighbourhood of hostel much. Kitchen was nice, only the heavy door between it and dining room was a little bit annoying.

Liked: Clean place with comfortable beds. Nice, big kitchen = no queue to cook. Plenty of computers you can pay to use if you don't bring your own. Nice common areas to hang out in. Hot showers (this temp. is no prob. for me!) Guy at desk very helpful when we needed to rearrange our visit because the Queen was going to be in town. Communal tv available to watch.

Disliked: A little bit of a hike from the bus station up the hill - but really not all that bad. If you don't like a little hike, then don't stay in a backpackers hostel. Would be nice to have at least tea/coffee available if breakfast is not to be provided. Showers were annoying for me as I think they were on a timer that shut off after just a short period. Could not get oven to work and girl at desk spoke no English so she could not help us.
