The kitchen was pretty good, WIFI was convenient, and the staff were really helpful. Plus it's not that far from the bus station

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, in particular the manager. Our group was very large (28 people) and they were excellent about accommodating our needs at all times. The hostel is very clean, and the comfortable communal areas and rooftop garden make it a great place to meet other people. The only downside is the location - while it's close to the train station and bus stops (and, crucially, to Hillbilly's Chicken) it is quite far from the UCC campus, which is where we needed to be every morning that we stayed there, and is further from the more enjoyable parts of town than other Cork hostels I've stayed in. That said, I'd definitely use it again, and would recommend it to anyone staying in Cork.

Pretty clean hostel with a massive kitchen and located nearby the city centre. Only thing is that since it's a large hostel it has a pretty impersonal feel to it and there's not really an area to chill out (which is kind of important when it's rainy and windy outside! Also, there seemed to be a serious shortage of showers, considering the size of the place. but the staff were really helpfuol and the internet was free. Very secure, too, although I did see the cops there one day (not sure why in the end.. it dind't affect the goings on)
