Liked: decent hostel, although we were put in the top room, which was very stuffy and had a light shining in it from the emergency exit. not the best night's sleep I have ever had!

Liked: Hostel staff helped me to 1, booked tour "ring of kerry" from Killarney, 2, booked hostel in Killarney,3, returned my one night hostel stay money i had already paid for stay in their hostel,4, waked me up next morning to catch 8am bus to Killarney.all was done in a matter of 5-10 minutes, while she was also handle other requests from telephone and fellow hosterllers...trip to Killarney and tour "ring of kerry" was beautiful.I can not thank them enough. and respect them SOOOO much. for people who loves their job, loves tourism, loves people, the world peace is so reachable.

Liked: Even though I had to drag my suitcase up a really steep hill to get there, it was more than made up for by the free internet, rooftop balcony, and huge kitchen. This hostel was great.

Liked: This property was on the hill just above the city centre, so abour a 10 minute walk at the most. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the hostel has fairly good facilities (even a sauna). They need more cups though (there was about 10 cups for the 40+ guests) :)

Liked: If you don't mind the short steep walk up from the bus station, this hostel is definitely a great place to stay in Cork on a budget.Located a short walk from the city centre, the dorms are clean (I was in room 117 which had its own shower and WC) and the hostel in general is a convenient, friendly and secure place to stay.Staff were very helpful and the free map was really handy. The optional breakfast for €3 was also great value.I would recommend Sheila's to anyone without hesitation.

Liked: Double bed, internet and kitchen were all good. Its up a high hill, and then our room was all the way at the top which was a pain.
