Liked: Very Friendly staff, sheets sparking clean sheets, nice common room.

Disliked: It was great and for the price i paid i thought the facilities were spot on.

Liked: I liked the atmosphere, there was free breakfast although just bread and tea and coffee, the location was good and the people at the front desk were more then happy to help us with directions.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: I was surprised how quiet it was most nights though I think I was at the quietest part. some street talk on final night.

Disliked: Showers were a bit too hot and not adjustable.

Liked: The location was good.

Disliked: The shower had no temperature adjustment so I was consequently scalded when I got into the shower.

Liked: Pretty good hostel, clean, free breakfast and wifi and good location. They also offer discounts on some tours.

Liked: Liked the location, the free breakfast, the free wi-fi. The staff were very helpful and you get a discount on the Paddywagon Tours if you are staying there. Nice big kitchen and Moroccan style TV Room. Would return

Liked: I got some laundry done here. It was expensive but it had to be done.

Disliked: This is NOT how a hostel should be run. It is more of a wack hotel, done purely as a business; the staff have no interest in travelers or Ireland. The staff are NOT locals trying to show you Cork, they are simply employees who really don't want to be there, and don't want to talk to you or help you.

Liked: not much

Disliked: the bedbugs. i caught one. freakin bug was huge. kept nibbling on me all night until i had enough and finally caught him. the nicest thing bout this place was the 2 pub 100 meters away. i enjoyed the locals there rather than the Kinlay House Cork.

Liked: The location is this hostel selling point. It also has quaint charm and loads of potential and character.

Disliked: The carpet smelt of urine and the internet was expensive. It could use a bit of money spent on renovating and maintenance

Liked: If you looking good value for money this is the right place. Close to the city centre and free breakfast. I'm happy also I stayed over for just only one night.

Disliked: Place looks quite tired and it's lacking the atmosphere. Because of the noise outside I need to have closed the window but due to the smell I had to open the window. Mattresses are soo uncomfortable.

Disliked: the wifi wasn't working (or working well). they should fix the bathroom doors so they do not loudly slam shut each time someone uses!

Liked: rooms were private and secure, although I stayed in a 16 bed dorm the walls separating the beds gave a lot of privacy

Disliked: The bathrooms could have been cleaner and there was only 2 powerpoints in the entire dorm

Liked: It was really clean, the dorm rooms were a really good size, and the facilities (kitchen, taxi phone, wifi) are decent.

Disliked: There are no lockers in the dorm rooms.

Liked: I loved this hostel! The staff were super friendly, the facilities (an internet cafe, tea and coffee machine, etc, tv room) were great and it was clean and well cared for. It was a bit like a maze, as it's a few buildings joined together, but I think it adds to its charm. It was cheap and had good wi - fi.

Disliked: The location was a small bit out of the city up a hill, so dragging cases up that was not fun! But I'm sure we could have taken the bus, so, our bad:)

Liked: The vibe in this place is great! Easy going, very friendly crowd who are keen to meet other travellers. The facilities are good, with free wifi, free basic breakfast and ample space in the kitchen and TV room. Looking forward to my next visit.

Disliked: If you don't have a laptop, net is expensive. No lockers in the rooms for security, which is pretty important. One friend had his laptop stolen.

Liked: Very helpful staff, great location, can't complain about free breakfast!

Disliked: The room I stayed in was a bit dirty -there were flies and it smelled a bit like urine. However, the rest of the hostel was clean so maybe I was just unlucky.

Liked: Some nice people and a good location.

Disliked: The room was pretty dirty, smelled like pee and was filled with flies. I wouldn't stay there again and certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Liked: We had a twin room which was a reasonable size and had a sink. Breakfast is just toast and a selection of jams - it seemed to finish at 9.30am. Key cards for security. I'm not sure if there were lockers in the dorm rooms. The common room closes at 11pm, so it is a very quiet hostel. Staff had a good knowledge of what was on around town and where to eat/ have a drink etc- they were very friendly and added a little something extra to what would otherwise be a very basic hostel.

Disliked: There didn't seem to be much parking available - we were lucky and got a space overnight but the streets are very narrow and spaces are at a premium.
