The modern building (opened in 2006) is adjacent to the 19th Century corn mill situated next to the picturesque Crana River in County Donegal’s second largest town, Buncrana (Bun Cranncha).

Tullyarvan Mill Tourism Hostel provides a large self-catering kitchen with well-maintained amenities and an open dining area or weather permitting, the ability to dine alfresco in the Donegal air in our gardens on the banks of the Crana River.
The communal room with comfy couches is a great place to read, watch TV, make new friends or plan the next leg of your journey.
Tullyarvan Mill Tourism Hostel is the perfect location to stay, relax and to explore the spectacular Inishowen Peninsula home to the main tourist trail, The Inishowen 100, which is rich and diverse in heritage, culture and natural archaeology.
The stunning local beaches are only minutes away and ideal for swimming, fishing and surfing. Some of which present a fantastic viewing point for the Aurora Borealis/ Northern lights.
The fun, seaside town of Buncrana is a 10-minute walk with a range of shops and pubs, many of which play live music.
Tullyarvan Mill Tourism Hostel is only a 45 minutes drive from Letterkenny and 20 minutes drive from Derry City (UK city of culture 2013 & 2013 All Ireland Fleadh) both with regular transportation routes.
The original building built in 1810 has been home to many ventures and industries for over 180 years. Tullyarvan Mill including the hostel is now a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity so it's nice to know that when you stay you are also making a direct contribution to the local community too!

Tullyarvan Mill Tourism Hostel is located in one of Ireland’s most beautiful regions, the Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal.

Situated in Buncrana, the gateway to Inishowen, Tullyarvan Mill Tourism Hostel is a superb base for travelling around the local area as well as venturing to or from the neighbouring counties of Northern Ireland.

Buncrana is the second largest town in County Donegal and is alive with shops, restaurants and pubs offering live music, dance & the well-known Irish ‘craic’.

The surrounding area is rich in heritage and culture and is home to many interesting, friendly people eager to guide you along the famous tourist trail, “The Inishowen 100”.

The area is blessed with breathtaking scenery, rugged coastline, sandy beaches, rambling hills and scenic mountain ranges. Providing many environments for various activities such as surfing, fishing, sailing, kayaking and has limitless trails for hill walkers and hikers.

With the famed Lough Swilly and Lough Foyle surrounding the scenic Peninsula, the vicinity is immense in spectacular viewing points most notably as being the main vantage point to observe the Northern Lights.
