Located 27 km from the center of city, Kaliurang is one of the best resorts in Yogyakarta and the favourite place of Njonja and Meneer to take a rest in the colonial period. Surrounded by tropical forest and located at a height of 900 meters above the surface of sea water, the air in this tourist area is so fresh and cool.

In the south, there extends the scenery of Jogja city with the romantic spangles of lamps in the evening. In the north, Merapi Mountain stands robustly and looks exotic when the reflection of the ray of morning light is sparkling on its back.
