Liked: Nice staff, nice bool and place to sit outside. Also they have good breakfast.

Disliked: The rooms are ugly (especially the bathroom) and (however they are clean) look dirty.

Liked: Pool and privacy were nice. Chairs in front of the rooms to enjoy the evening air, good breakfast included.

Disliked: A little grubby and outdated our room was a little dusty.

Liked: The hotel was a good price in a area with resturuants. The pool was good on a hot day. Staff was helpful and booked our tour tickets and train tickets for us.

Disliked: there were more bugs in the room than i would have like. Only 1 cockroach and 1 gecko but lots of ants that go after anything.

Liked: Really friendly, helpful staff who organised tours and taxis for us. Big, clean rooms with private bathrooms, and veranda areas. Free internet. Great breakfast - ask for the Indonesian version (spicy fried rice). Awesome swimming pool.

Disliked: Location is a bit too far away from the centre of Yogya to walk, but becaks are cheap (if you can haggle!) and there are lots of other budget hotels and cafe/bars in the evening to keep you busy.

Liked: - Very clean, cosy and quiet. - Swimming pool on the other side of the road - excellent, when it's really hot. - Room was clean and a real value for money. - WiFi in lobby (but bad connection on the 3rd floor) and computer with free enternet access. - Breakfast also tasty.- City is really nice and worth sightseeing.

Disliked: Little bit far from the center (if walking), but ok if you take velo-transport.

Liked: Typical backpackers acommodation in Indonesia: quite nice room, ugly toilet and bathroom (only cold water). Good breakfast.

Liked: Big rooms, very nice porches in front of the rooms, cheap laundry service, good breakfast, good travel agency, quiet location

Disliked: Although the bathroom was clean it looked a bit scummy, and the toilet was noisy and you had to wait a while to flush it

Liked: The staff were very helpful. They assisted us in every aspect of our trip to Yogyakarta. Food for breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone who is on a tight budget but wants good service. The pool was also nice. One thing that didn't go well was when we experienced blackout on our 2nd night. There was no emergency light nor standby generators. But overall, I really liked our stay in Metro Guest House. Good value for money.

Liked: location as the only good point. The room was not very clean and the smell was not nice either.... a bit disappointing

Liked: The room is good. If you pay a little extra you get a room with airco + hot water. Breakfast is also good. And you can also book trips by them to see for example tempels. So for us was Metro a plesant stay.
