Tir Na Nog - The famous Irish Bar and Bungalows of Gili Trawangan offers great value for all your needs.

Tir Na Nog, or the Irish Bar as it is more commonly known is one of the most established businesses on Gili Trawangan. So named after an Irish folk tale where its residents remained young forever, Tir Na Nog is at the very heart of Gili Trawangan.

Situated in the main part of Gili Trawangan, Tir Na Nog’s prime position overlooks Lombok’s Mount Rinjani and the inviting blue waters of the Lombok Strait.

As of July 2010, we are also delighted to offer our bungalow guests the private and exclusive use of our fresh water swimming pool. A recent addition to the island is WIFI which is available in the restaurant.

The Irish bar has become its own institution and the place to be on Gili Trawangan. Described as the largest Irish bar on the smallest island in the world we pride ourselves on being able to offer our customers a fun and relaxed night out. Our energetic and lively bar staff are only too happy to make up your favourite cocktails or ask them for one of our famous Irish Bar concoctions.

Our indoor sports bar offers you all the sports from around the world as well as the more traditional pub games like table football, darts and the Nintendo Wii. Some of the sports shown are :

Associated with the business is 2 restaurants. The first is a Sushi restaurant and the 2nd being a western restuarant offering a great BBQ, fantastic pizzas and great salads, pasta etc.

Accommodation Information

Our original 10 spacious standard bungalows are situated at the rear of the property to ensure a secure and peaceful nights sleep. Offering either twin or double rooms mutual facilities to all our rooms include; Air Conditioning, hot water showers, in-room safety deposit boxes and large private balconies. Extra mattress and baby cots available on request.

Our new 10 luxury rooms (July 2010) are aimed at providing our guests with a higher standard of comfort at a very affordable rate. Including facilities such as AC, hot fresh water and in-room safety deposit boxes our new rooms also offer our guests high quality bedding, satellite TV, WIFI internet access, traditional ‘Baliese-style’ indoor /outdoor bathroom and an enclosed private garden area.

Location Information

Situated off the northwest coast of Lombok, lies the three famous Gili Islands - Gili Air, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan.

Gili T, as it is more popularly known as, is the most visited of the three Gilis but still retains the charm of a tropical island paradise. With no motorised vehicles the only form of transport is by foot, bicycle or by traditional horse and cart (Cidomo). As well as spending lazy days on the white sandy beach there are a variety of cafes, bars, restaurants, and dive schools on the island to while away your day.

Apart from the diving and snorkelling you can go horseriding or bike riding around the island. We can also offer golfing trips to Lombok as well.
