Liked: Very high quality materials used while constructing the hostel. Very friendly staff and location right in the heart of Kuta. They take visa/mastercard.

Disliked: location is horrible if you don't like traffic noises. Our room b11 was really noisy, which the hotel cannot do anything about, Kuta street is right next to the hostel.Linens or matress smelled a bit like mildew, perhaps they had been folded while still wet after washing. They charge you with rupiahs, and give quite a bad exhange rate. Mine was 9800 to 1 €, while the official course was closer to 12000.

Liked: - very calm and quite, even it is located in the heart of Kuta - design-hotel with ver nice decoration and selected furniture - separated toilett and showerroom - feels like "home", very clean - friendly breakfast-service

Liked: Right in the middle of everything in Kuta!

Disliked: Airport transfer was not great! We arranged it a week in advance and got to the airport and they were not there....we had to call multiple times and waited two hours for the pickup. We tried to arrange another one on the way back to the airport and they forgot and we had to wait again. They also seem to have a hard time keeping track of your account and what you owe. I paid all my bills, but still get emails saying I didnt. Not very reliable for money or airport pickups! beware

Liked: Very strategic place to stay for shoppers and easy access for all the spa facilities, K-Mart & Beach.

Disliked: Need to improve on facilities offer like more choices on breakfast menu.

Liked: very modern/chic/new hotel,get 3-star starand,super value of money breakfast taste great,staff very friendly location is good,althought not reallt heart of Kuta

Disliked: no interent in room,only get wi-fi in lougue and lobby the wall is very thin, the baby new door screaming the whole night

Liked: Our room was very clean and quiet. Quaint looking place with a touch of sophistication - very good value for money! The breakfast is continental with croissant, fresh fruits, and juice. On some days it was sandwiches. Filling for our tummies but might not be enough for those who are accustomed to eating more. Our rooms were cleaned each day, with a new set of towels. We actually didn't want our towels to be changed due to conserving water in Bali (Bali has a water shortage problem) so we hung it on our bathroom door - maybe next time we will tell them not to take it. Tanaya is located on Jalan Legian and there is no shortage of food and shops! It is one of the busiest streets in Kuta. The staff was extremely friendly and made our stay enjoyable. There is wifi only in the lobby and terrace upstairs. There's also a computer in the lobby for guests to use. There is constant security, not just in Tanaya but also along Jalan Legian so it's alright. Taxis are extremely easy to hail down, and motorcycles for rent are in abundance here.

Disliked: Apparently Tanaya was not informed about Hostel Booker's 10% deposit charge when guests book online and so told us we had to pay the full amount. However, theTanaya staff was so lovely to let us stay the night without paying until they sorted everything out (it was fine in the end). Hopefully HostelBookers inform their collaborating accommodations about the deposit charges. On our last night it was a rainy storm. Water from the ceiling was leaking into our toilet. This was Room 9 - hopefully someone checks that!

Liked: The location of the hostel is great! We got so much more than what we were expecting, the rooms are nice and clean, airconditioning, flat screen tv, and finally a decent bathroom. Staff were also very friendly, and there is good security.

Disliked: a bit of noise coming from other guests in the hallway

Liked: very clean and safe right on the heart of Kuta!

Disliked: Unfortunately not too many people in the patio area so my brother and I werent able to meet any other backpackers.

Liked: Location a bit off the hectic poppies lanes, still good accessible, also the beach, maybe not as close as described in the overview (ca 10-15min). From terrace, where breakfast is served as well, nice view on busy Jalan Legian.

Disliked: We had a deluxe double room which was quite small, no real window, linen, towels could have been a little cleaner but its still good value.

Liked: Easy to reach, central, affordable spot near famous Kuta beach. Walking to everything you may need. Nice rooms, hallways a little noisy if partiers come in ate. Securty is good.

Liked: Liked the friendly & helpful staff. But the breakfast selection could improve. Only 1 choice currently. Also the free wifi signal could be better in the rooms, think they only provide it in the lobby & breakfast cafe. Would prefer if wifi is avaliable in the rooms.

Liked: This is such a lovely hostel to stay in. We stayed in a lot of hotels/ hostels around the island and this is by far the best one for this price! Staff are friendly and breakfast is really tasty.
