Liked: very peaceful and quiet place, nice swimming pool, good and inexpensive restaurant, good breakfast (you can choose what you want), good location there is a short cut to the center via bridge, complimentary tea and water available, helpful staff

Disliked: internet works only in restaurant area, sheets and towels smelled wet but that is maybe because we were there during the rainy season and you can´t get anything dry then.

Liked: This hotel is very centrally located. It's also set in lovely, peaceful grounds. The rooms are set in little houses with their own veranda and beautifully furnished with dark wood furniture. It makes a nice change of pace from the hustle of Monkey Forest Road. The staff were friendly and courteous, every morning when we left our room they would stop what they were doing to say "good morning, how are you?". The breakfast was nice.

Disliked: When we arrived in our room there were a few white maggots on the ground. However, when we showed them to the staff they reacted immediately and went in to clean and spray our room. Their guess was that they were wood worms, and, as the room was 60% wood this was quite possible. They were apologetic and we had no more maggots drop from the ceiling. After reading other reviews we were wary of the staff trying to sell us things, but only one of them tried this and he wasn't overly pushy and was easily fended off, still a bit annoying but not a deal breaker. The breakfast was tasty, but quite small and you had to pay for anything additional.

Liked: It was beautiful, and close enough to the city center.

Disliked: The staff was a little frustrating, and they didn't communicate with each other.

Liked: The hotel is set in beautiful grounds.. With rice fields and flowers! It's got a great pool by the small restaurant, and there is an easy cut through the hotel to get to monkey forest road with all of the shops bars and restaurants close by

Disliked: The rooms were basic but we only had a standard room and for the price it is still excellent value and more than comfortable enough unless you're on a honeymoon or something!!

Liked: The setting is beautiful, and there's a nice pool. They offer day tours, of which we did one, and liked it.

Disliked: The water supply was not consistent and it was difficult to have warm water, though boiling and cold were readily available.

Liked: everything especially breakfast we can select what we want,, at first i thought i need to paid separated from the price of room but it included and the quantity are much more than i thought

Liked: Very nice garden and rice field view. A great place to relax. Very close to Ubud market and royal house. Sweet morning tea and friendly staff.

Disliked: Two staff gave me two different prices when I'm booking the one day tour.

Liked: lovely surroundings, rolling fields and the buildings where you stay are traditional and look impressive with excellent balconeys if your on the upper floor. There is a little shortcut onto the main street of Ubud which as long as you take a torch is very handy. Breakfast was good and the staff were keen to help you and for us didnt hassle us about trips , whether we were lucky with this compared to others im not sure.

Disliked: no real major dislikes, the rooms are little sparse but beacuse your in Ubud you won't be spending much time in your room anyway.

Liked: I loved the location! Quiet in the middle of rice paddy and greenery. The little houses and Chalets give it a nice charm.

Disliked: The staff was a bit overly keen to sell tours and when informed that we booked everything already they would comment that these tours are not good and their's are better. I emailed regarding airport transfer, but never got a reply. There was however someone to pick us up.

Liked: Location was good as was the pool. Rooms were spacious.

Disliked: Expensive, similar standard of hotels available in the area at reduced price. Staff wanting to sell their tour to you. Wifi is not available in the rooms.

Liked: The restaurant offers some pretty good food at reasonable prices. The rooms are spacious. It is located off the main road, so it's very quiet and together with the rice fields around, makes a good atmosphere. Nevertheless, it is very close to some places of interest in Ubud. And the morning tea that is left in front of your room in the morning is great too!

Disliked: Actually, if it wasn't for the bedbugs that bit me pretty badly, I wouldn't be able to say anything bad. Still, bedbugs are common in many places in Asia and ever more resilient to various chemicals. I didn't let the staff know, so I don't know how would they react to it.

Liked: Nick's pension is in a beautiful setting and feels like it's out in the countryside despite being only a 5 minute walk from the main street. The architecture and style are traditional and of good standard. The staff are nice too and the cycle tour was really good.

Disliked: The short cut to the main street is a little bit dark and uneven so you need to be careful not to slip!

Liked: the pool was very good, and the selection of food available for breakfast was excellent. good views over the countryside.

Disliked: Bathroom could have been cleaner, found a cockroach in the room.

Liked: The best!!!!! is the paradise in earth..... The people very fiendly .Lo recomiendo, es lugar es maravilloso, rodeado de mucha vegetacion... uno se quedaria todo el dia disfrutando del lugar...... la gente es muy amable. Los cuartos son muy amplios, limpios, con detalles maravillosos..... lo mejor que vi en Asia

Liked: The service was very efficent and friendly . The location was wonderful and the rooms large , attractive and well maintained ..........However , given I was paying for a deluxe room some things could have been a little better . ie the breakfast and more channel options for the TV .Also , some of the amenities could have been better eg the shower and toilet . Overall , though , I would recomend the Nicks Pension .

Liked: The deluxe room was beautiful creating a perfect Balinese atmosphere- the staff were excellent with all the little touches of a top notch hotel!! Coffee was left on the balcony twice a day and on a night a mosquito coil always appeared too!! Had a great time there...
