Liked: Nick's Hidden Cottages is an incredible property, nestled in the middle of a rice field and tucked away from the main road and noise. It is surrounded by lush plants and tropical trees. The pool atmosphere is like paradise. The staff is incredibly friendly and breakfast is provided every morning on the open-air terrace. Nick's will also arrange transport and help with booking Bike Tours and anything else you want to see. Nick's is near a number of spas and great restaurants as well.

Disliked: They claim to offer room service, but this has been discontinued and the only food they offer is breakfast.

Liked: Nicks Hidden is off the beaten path down a dirt road. It offfers one true Bali country feel for serentiy and peace yet it's a few km walk and your on a main street to shops, museums,etc. The rooms are lovely. The pool is great. All of the staff is great. They are so accomadating and hard working with joy in their heart to please.

Liked: Quiet, peaceful and friendly staff. Great facilities and an amazing selection of rooms.

Liked: We enjoyed the location and the surroundings but were overall disappointed with what you got for your money. It seemed as though we were in the 'backpacker' room. Warm water came through after 10 minutes of running the shower. Information about the area was not readily available and the tour we took through the hotel wasn't anything special.

Liked: The view from our balcony was simply amazing. Skies filled with stars and a massive lush forest. The swimming pool was clean and well mantained. But the room interior was not that great. Spacious but way too old, especially the sheets, pillow cases, beddings, etc. The clothes n my hair I slept in all smelt like the bed the next day it was really gross.

Liked: this place is very beautiful, chilled and calm. An amazing pool and lush gardens. The staff are really helpful and were great at organising travel plans for onward journeys. Will be staying here again!

Liked: i really enjoyed my stay at Nick's. it was clean, felt safe and had a lovely setting amongst the rice terraces. it was also very peaceful and quiet. i had only paid for a superior room with fan, but pleasantly surprised to discover my room had air-con. the only drawbacks were the lack of a restaurant/bar and the room could use a fridge, but these things are easily overlooked in view of all the postive points of Nick's. i'd stay here again.

Liked: nice environment and got a spectacular view! However the bathtub of my room (Rm199, right above the reception) got two problems which quite bothered me during my stay! Firstly, I had to let the water flow for at least 10 mins in order to have the hot water for shower (the staff said sth like the hot water tower is too far from my room which I still don't quite understand why and they just couldn't do anything about it). Secondly, they surely didn't do a good job in cleaning the bathtub as the water just didnt go away due to too much hair got stuck at the drainage. After all, it's still a good place to stay and I loved the style of the cottages. Spacious room and high ceiling. Nice breakfast with a plate of fruit and your choice of toast, jaffle or pancakes. Just be careful while going back to the hostel at night as it's quite dark and there were so many wild dogs around, better bring a stick and a torch.

Liked: The breakfast was good. Friendly staff. Downside to the stay was the size of the ants! The age of the bedding and pillows!! Maybe advise others to bring own bed linen and pillows.We slept in our sleeping bags - towels old and very grey - not sure if that is what you should expect from budget accommodation!

Liked: This property offers car and driver for a nominal fee. It is fuss free and we got a driver, wayang who made our 2-day trip fruitful and memorable. The property has a pool, good for sunbathing on a hot afternoon sun in Bali. I give thumbs up.

Liked: big room, nice environment & wonderful staffs. hot water only lasted 5-10m each time though. saw one big gecko (~1 foot, interesting encounter! :)) in our room which the staffs help to chase out.

Liked: I'm a regular at Nick's Pension across the padi - while it doesn't have the views it is much better value for money, quite a bit cheaper and has much better service than the hidden cottages. Also v good on the same road for slightly lower price (no view but grt architecture) is Honeymoon.

Liked: THe setting was fantastic, the outlook was beautiful and while it was out of town a little there is any easy short cut walk into town so it was still easy to access everything but still seek out some peace amongst the rice paddies.
