Liked: Excellent and attentive service. The manager/owner was always around, talking to customers and personally making it sure that all guests are well treated and satisfied. Whole staff very polite and helpful. Quiet and safe neighbourhood. Location a bit far from the ghats but still within walkable distance (15 min) - well suited for travellers who do not bear the constant noise, smoke and crowds of the old town and ghats. True pearl, particularly by Varanasi standards.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The roof top terrace was a definite highlight! Really nice atmosphere an brilliant view. The boat trip they offer was good to. The room was really clean with airconditioning, a fan and a tv.

Disliked: The room was quite small, with a really big bathroom. Probably wouldn't bother next time with a 'river view' room as the window was small and didn't give much of a view - the roof terrace is better for this.

Liked: perfect position: not in the crowded city center, but just few minutes walking. staff was very helpful and in the roof top restaurant we had the best dinner of our staying in India!very clean for indian standard.

Disliked: bathroom was hot

Liked: The view over the Ganges. It is in a perfect location to enjoy what Varanasi has to offer without the hassle and noise of being too close to the old part of town

Disliked: 1. The dirty room 2. I had booked a room and even confirmed with the manager by email that it would have 2 beds. On checking in he said that someone had decided to stay on it that room so I would have to have a double. They put in a stretcher which swayed and squeaked - totally unsatisfactory.
