The Veena Palace is a group of 4 HouseBoats on Dal Lake, Srinagar. Two HouseBoats are category Deluxe and the two other houseboats are category C. (The official Rectorat of Tourism of Jammu and Kashmir issues certificates for HouseBoats and categorizes them into 5 categories: Deluxe, A, B, C and D.)
Apart from the bedrooms, HouseBoats of category Deluxe have a shared living room, a shared dining room, a shared patio and a shared rooftop. The category C HouseBoats have a shared living room, a shared patio and a shared rooftop.
There is running water in every room and hot water is available at anytime (unlike in other accommodations). There is a private bathroom with a bathtub in every room.
You can request vegetarian breakfast (additional 50R per person), vegetarian lunch (additional 80R per person) and vegetarian diner (additional 80R per person). Extra charges for non- vegetarian meals.
To go from the peer to the houseboat, a Shikara (taxi boat) service is included in the price.
The place is extremely quiet and the landscape wonderful.
There are a lot of options to go hiking, sightseeing, trout fishing, camping, tours to Lama Valley in Ladakh, etc.

Deluxe Houseboats:
- 1 Houseboat with 2 bedrooms with 1 triple bedroom and one double
- 1 Houseboat with 4 bedrooms, 3 bedrooms with 1 double bed and a single bed and 1 bedroom with two double beds

Each room has a window and a fan (AC is not required)

The Veena Place is located on Dal Lake, Srinagar's main lake. The Housboats are only 2 minutes away by Shikara (Taxi boat) from the main street.
A convenience store is located next to the Houseboat.
Several merchant boat shop pass every day: souvenirs, food, jewelries, etc.
All other type of stores and internet café on the main street.
