This family owned guest house provides six romantic and uniquely decorated air con and air cooler en suites with antique furniture. The most higher roof top restaurant gives fantastic 360 views across the city and fort, and provides delicious home cooked, fresh food.

small,original,atmospherically ramshackle and lovingly restored,shahi guest house attracts those seeking character and authenticity.It sits down a fascinating,cobblestoned alley in the heart of Jodhpur's blue city,and its roof terrace has some of the finest views of the city and the mighty fort towering above.Your hosts are delightful people for whom nothing is too much trouble,interesting and fun,they have learnt to speak English from their guests.Bedroom are great value.In one suite,where women of the house used to meet in purdah,are a sweeping mosaic floor,a golden arch,a sleeping gallery for children.The honeymoon suite has an antique bed with magnificent views,the rose oil sprinkled on curtains

I would like to thank you for an excellent recommendation: the Shahi guest house,jodhpur,Rajasthan(June/july 2001 issue).We stayed there in 2002 and revisited last years.Owner Mr Bantu and his wife Anu have created a very special atmosphere.I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the comfort of a guest house while feeling part of an Indian family.(SARA HARROP,BIGGLESWADE)
