Liked: Great place to stay. The place is full of charm and great characters. The food is great aswell. The staff were all really friendly, courtesy and helpful. While your there ask about the 'sambhali trust'...

Disliked: Nothing really, bathroom was a bit average but it's much better than some we've had in India!

Liked: Great staff! Very helpful and friendly. Food was excellent, wifi was usually available, and the courtyard is big yet cozy.

Liked: We liked the opportunity to volunteer at the outreach project, Sambhali Trust, also on the premises. An extremely worthy cause. Liked the atmosphere of the guesthouse.

Liked: Even the location is a bit outside the center, but very close to the railway station, I would definitely go there again next time. The staff is very helpful and the food is delicious. The whole family is giving their best to make your stay the most comfortable. They offer cooking classes as well and you can enter the kitchen to have a look while they are cooking whenever you want. The room is clean, hot water also available which is quite usefull during this time of the year.

Liked: Friendly, helfpul, flexible staff. Nice relaxed atmosphere. The food in the restaurant is one of the best I've had in an Indian hotel.

Disliked: A little out of town but that doesn't present a major problem.

Liked: lots of lovely communal areas. Good food and really friendly and helpful staff. Would definately stay here again. There are also opportunities to volunteer with the local charity they support.

Liked: Our room was really nice & staff was really helpful. They make the best masala chai ever! There is a nice place to sit at on the roof and admire sunset views of the fort.

Disliked: You have to take an auto to the clock tower, but it may be a good thing if you want somewhere peaceful. Also, I didn't like that there were two dogs because I'm scared of animals but they were generally benign.

Liked: Durag Niswas is the BEST place we have stayed in india - colourful and friendly. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and do not up sell to you like many indian hotels. The location is great as is just outside of the main town, so is a little quieter but within walking distance (10 - 15 mins).It is a family run guest house, and so is very welcoming. The food is fantastic, and there is a beautiful decorated roof terrace, as well as brightly coloured communal courtyard. There is regular hot water and you get towels, linen and soap. Also there is internet, laundry (though this is a bit more expensive than some other hotels) and wifi etc. I would definitely recommend this guest house - it is the kind of place that you want to come back to again and again.

Liked: Very friendly people and a great atmosphere. A very nice place to meet other travellers.

Disliked: Perhaps a little out of the way but most rickshaw drivers have heard of it so it's not hard to get there. It's also quite nice to be a little out of the way in quite a busy city.
