Liked: It was easy to walk from the property to the magnificient Fort and to the Jaswant Thada without taking the rikshaw/tuk tuk. The family seemed nice, they tried to sell me some stuff but were not too pushy about it. I also enjoyed the food cooked by the owner's wife.

Disliked: TWO DAYS after I left the property I got an email from the hotel owner which was a scam. He was wrote to me that himself and his wife went to London, got robbed and asked for financial assistance to settle the hotel bill. I was shocked when I read the email. That was just one step too far. The train station pick up is too expensive. I asked for the pick up. I did not see the owner (he was there waiting for us) but ended up paying for it as I 'waisted owners time and petrol'. They pick you up for 300 rupees, it only cost 45 from the pre-paid booth at the train station which is just outside the main door.

Liked: A small guest house with great view of the city and the fort, run by a very nice and helpful family. Sunil, the owner, was very attentive to meet our needs, and did everything he could to make us happy with our stay. Took us to shops, showed us around and shared good stories. We even celebrated new years with the family, and it really felt like we lived with a family, not just in a guest house. Loved to sit at the rooftop and look out at the blue buildings around, and the families of monkeys climbing the buildings.

Disliked: If you like more space and privacy, you may not like this place as much as I. The room was nothing but a bed, and the stairs were very narrow. But that's how the houses in this part of town is built. A little dusty in the room. The food sometimes took very long to be ready.

Liked: the view on the city was very nice from the roof top

Disliked: the rooms we had were dirty and dusty, like noone cleaned them. we took 2 rooms, one was with double bed and it was quite ok, just lots of ants were walking on the floor, and the other one was for 4 people, one double bed and 2 single beds- i strongly NOT recommend this room ! the part with double bed is just stinky , you can smell naphthalene there and as there is no window in this room it is really not nice and all our clothes smelled like this after our stay. also this double bed is quite small and short, hapilly there is a kind of hole in the wall where you can put your legs not to have them bend all the time while sleeping . please check what's included in the price before booking as we have breakfast included and the host told us that it must be mistake and wanted us to pay for the breakfast additionally. we didnt do this as we checked with him together that in the wesite stays that breakfast was included... he went very angry and did not even say goodbye to us when we were leaving ...

Liked: Spend one night in Adrian Brody's room (the one he used when filming the movie Darjeeling Limited). The rooftop view is amazing, and the owner is a man of wonderful character. We had a photo model session in the morning. Great value for money homestay.

Disliked: the place was a little bit dusty, but I guess that's expected being near to the dessert
