Liked: full of character, very tall building so excellent views all around from rooftop restaurant accommodated me for the night when I arrived at 1.30 am after a last-minute booking - it transpired they were full but they found me another guesthouse and delivered me there in the morning

Disliked: noisy family building is one room wide and 6 stories tall, so many flights of stairs all the time

Disliked: Bathroom was a bit grotty, you can hear alot of noise from our room, as the window opened into the corridor , perhaps different In other rooms? The wifi is only available when standing On the stairs.

Liked: The family who run the guest house are warm and welcoming treating us members of their family and including us their recent Diiwali celebrations . We felt honoured and touched by thier kindness and generosity towards us. Nothing was too much trouble and we were very sorry to leave.The guesthouse has a great deal of character And is situated within easy walking distance of the sadeer bazaar overlooked by the fort. The views from the roof top restaurant are magnificent and the food is very good,wholesome And good value for money.The young men in charge are very willing to adapt the menu to suit your individual needs and are pleasant and polite at all times. We loved johdpurand we loved the Blue House and hope to return one day!

Liked: The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated with Indian style. The family that owns the place and lives there are helpful. Breakfast from the rooftop has a great view of the city and the fort.

Disliked: If you stay here and book online, make sure to print out all information. They "forgot" how much I'd prepaid through hostel bookers and I couldn't get online to see due to an internet outage in the city. So I had to pay the entire amount again. Also to get a driver to pick you up form the hotel is 500 rupees, and ours didn't show up. A driver through the prepaid at the airport was only 300 rupees, so I'd book there.

Liked: Comfy good location. Roof top restuarant was really lovely, great views and delicious food.

Disliked: Staff were helpful, but it felt very businesslike. No really homey atmosphere.

Liked: The place is very clean and safe.

Disliked: If like us you read all the good comments about this place, it may be because the owner spends a lot of time promoting how great the place is. The guy who picked us up from the station was late, then proceeded to put us in a tuk tuk not checking who we were or coming with us. The owner is very helpful....when he is getting what he wants out of the situation. As experienced travellers we dont expect grandeur, just honesty.

Liked: The hostel is in a family house and everybody that lives there are very kind and helpfull. The roof top has a great view to the fort and the food was good.

Disliked: The bathroom was not good and clean like it was supposed to bem but they tried...

Liked: Great views. Have a BEAUTIFUL restaurant not just on the roof, but another one not far from the guesthouse. The kitchen staff were so sweet - they won me over. The manager was good for a laugh. The family truly endearing!! They organised our whole time there so we didn't have to worry about anything except paying at the end which wasn't that much anyway. Note: Do the FLYING FOX at the Fort!! It's so so so much fun - and the staff there are awesome too.

Liked: The Blue House is one of the nicest places we have stayed in India. Run by a very friendly family who will help you out with bus tickets, tours, illness anything they can do to help you really. Excellent.

Liked: Welcoming family, staff and owner. The roof top restaurant had an execellet panoramic veiw of the fort, great location with easy access to all the key sites. WIFI Internet access was promised but not available in rooms and poor in hotel. We had an issue with the water but it was quickly resolved.
