Overview
Welcome to the hotel golden city with the luxury of a swimming pool.
Hotel golden city is a friendly family run hotel where the staff speak good english, are extremely helpful and will do their best to fulfil your every need. we will pick you up from the railway/bus station free of charge.
There are 2 restaurants at the Hotel Golden City. The first of the restaurants is on the Roof Top with superb views of Jaisalmer City and the second, the more romantic by the side of the swimming pool. Both dining areas serve a delicious variety of both Indian and Western cuisine made even better with the tandoori oven.
The rooms vary from ones overlooking the pool, to ones overlooking the city. Most with air conditioning and tvs, all have attached shower rooms - some with a bath. Most have their own private balcony.
There are many wonderful sights to see in and around Jaisalmer from the Sona Killa or Golden Fort, which stands majestic and proud - is thought to be the only lived in Fort in India to the beautifully carved Havelis (old buildings) to Gadasar Lake - where you can be rowed at your leisure to the Villages and Temples outside of Jaisalmer and of course the Dunes, where best to see the sunset. Some of which can be seen on this page and also on the next.
Many Bollywood films are shot in and around Jaisalmer and it is possible to see the films being made and the famous film stars.
Our sister company, Time Travel, which is recognised by the Government of Rajasthan Department of Tourism, Art and Culture, will be able to organise your local sightseeing and Camel/Jeep safari or if you require more help with getting around India they can arrange your tour.
