We love people and would like to open our home and heart to you. We are warm and hospitable and love entertaining friends……either for a barbeque dinner that we rustle up in our little garden or for any festive celebration of color and lights.

Both of us are highly educated with a modern outlook on life; yet we are proud of our traditions and values. I am Dilip, an architect by profession and a painter by passion, and my wife Tanuja is an educationist. We both speak English and have traveled widely across the world. We have two grown up children who have completed their education and flown the nest. Our daughter is a creative director in an advertising company and our son is a software engineer.

People who have visited us think we are polite and gracious hosts. This is because we are outgoing and love to meet folks from other walks of life and across the world ……to exchange the richness of cultures, cuisines, experiences and warmth.

Our home is welcoming, clean and comfortable; a blend of the traditional and contemporary. The food is home cooked that combines local and continental cuisine. We love to experiment in the kitchen and have, over the years honed it to perfection and we make some mouth watering exotic dishes. My friends think I make the best biryani in the world and my chicken curry is known to warm the cockles of a fussy teenager’s heart! My wife specializes in north and south Indian specialties and cooks with great aplomb. Often, friends drop by unannounced and yet get treated to tasty treats prepared and served with a lot of love.

By staying with us you will get to know a great deal about the local customs and traditions that we practice at home. We share with our guests’ useful tips about experiencing the local art and culture, and best bargains to buy both sophisticated jewelry or inexpensive trinkets, and historical sites to visit. We are good at sensing the needs of guests and will help you get the most in terms of experiencing this city.
And should you wish for a peaceful and quiet nook to introspect, you can do so in our small library, garden or the terrace.

We care deeply for the environment and are ecologically sensitive. We try our best to adopt various means of recycling, and use renewable energy for lighting, heating and cooking. We also care for the under-privileged and support two NGOs who are working in the field of child development, street children’s education, women's issues and AIDS. Should you like to visit them, we shall be happy to arrange it for you.

Location Information

Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is 260 km south west of Delhi, the capital of India. It is well connected by rail, road and air.
Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, is a symbol of royal elegance and courtly splendor of the Rajput clans.
It is famous for its heritage - forts and palaces, temples and monuments. It is also famous for horse polo, block prints, jewelry, handicrafts, colorful festivals, cultural fests and honest warm hearted hospitality.

Shopping Malls, Cinema Halls, Eating Joints:
All these are about 1 to 2 Km from our house (walking distance). There are two movie (cinema) halls, a number of big and modern shopping malls and a number of restaurants serving all types of food - Indian, Chinese and Continental within 1 to 2 Km from our house.

Medicine Shops, Doctors and Hospitals:
All these are at walking distance from our home. In any case, in case of any medical emergency, we are there to help at any time of the day or night. By the way, nine of our dear and good friends are doctors from various specialties; of which three stay within walking distance from our home
